On the Road

The first trailer for Walter Salles' adaptation of On the Road premiered a couple months before the 2012 Cannes Film Festival earlier this summer. Then just before the festival, the indie starring Kristen Stewart, Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund was picked up for distribution and the first trailer touting the film's winter release has arrived. After the death of his father, Sal Paradise (Riley), an aspiring New York writer, meets Dean Moriarty (Hedlund), a wild and infectiously charismatic ex-con and they both take a life-changing physical and emotional odyssey. Could this be a worthy Jack Kerouac adaptation? Watch it!

Here's the new trailer for Walter Salles' On the Road originally from MSN:

On the Road, directed by Walter Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries, Dark Water), written by Jose Rivera based on Jack Kerouac's book, tells the story of Sal Paradise (Sam Riley), who sets off on a cross country journey expressing the restless energy and desire for freedom that makes people rush out to see the world. Garrett Hedlund plays Sal's friend Dean, who inspires him to see America, while Kristen Stewart plays his on-again-off-again wife Marylou. Viggo Mortensen, Amy Adams, Kirsten Dunst, Elisabeth Moss, Alice Braga and more also star in the film which is slated to hit theaters later this winter on December 21st. Good?
