The Moth Diaries Trailer

"I wonder what her secret is?" IFC Films has unveiled the official trailer via Yahoo for the new film from American Psycho director Mary Harron, a horror-thriller called The Moth Diaries, that premiered at TIFF last year. Set at an all-girls boarding school, it stars Sarah Bolger and Lily Cole as two students who have deep, dark secrets that seem to involve the supernatural. Or vampires. Lily Cole plays the really creepy one, but they don't give away too much in this, as far as I can tell. The supporting cast also includes Scott Speedman, Sarah Gadon, Valerie Tian and Judy Parfitt. If you're up for more vampire girls, give this a shot.

Watch the first official trailer for Mary Harron's The Moth Diaries, originally from Yahoo:

Rebecca (Sarah Bolger) is suspicious of Ernessa (Lily Cole), the new arrival at her boarding school. But is Rebecca just jealous of Ernessa's bond with Lucie, or does the new girl possess a darker, sinister secret?

Acclaimed director Mary Harron (I Shot Andy Warhol, American Psycho, Notorious Bettie Page) returns with this chilling and evocative vampire tale set at an all-girl boarding school. Based on the popular novel by Rachel Klein, The Moth Diaries is a sinister and sensually modern film about dark pasts, the circulation of desire and the fragile line between the real and imagined. This first premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year, and was picked up by IFC Films. The Moth Diaries hits limited theaters April 20th this spring.

It's a bit of a shame that this flick scores a 5.1 on IMDb. The user votes are 96 and I usually wait until a 1,000 plus votes to take the numbers seriously. Having said that the only people who've seen it are like yourself - advance viewers. Ie people with a discerning interest. Like I said - shame. 'Cos I like Harron's first two films and her third though not bad just wasn't to my taste.

getting back to the nitty gritty of vampires, least it seems that way but usually when I think a movie is gonna be good it isn't so we'll see. I know we've been bombarded with vampire movies but this one looks like there could actually have a creepy factor about it
