The cast of the new film Third Person from Paul Haggis is already impressive with Liam Neeson, James Franco, Mila Kunis, Olivia Wilde and Kim Basinger all on board the ensemble romance which starts shooting in Rome today. But two more names are sweetening the deal as Variety has word that Maria Bello and Adrien Brody have been added to the film that follows three different couples which are all part of interconnected love stories set in New York, Paris, and Rome. Each relationship is viewed at the beginning, middle or end, so there will be happiness, but ultimately heartbreak as one of these couples doesn't last.
We don't have details on all the characters, but we know Neeson is playing a journalist with Wilde as his love interest, a New York gossip columnist. Meanwhile, Brody's character will fall for Moran Atia, who worked with Haggis on The Next Three Days. That leaves Franco and Kunis to likely be the third couple, and I imagine Basinger will play one of the young ladies' mother or perhaps an ex-wife or something like that (likely for Neeson's character). As for Bello, maybe she has an affair with one of the men in the film? We're not sure. Either way, since Haggis won an Oscar with his last ensemble film Crash, perhaps there's the potential for him to hit the awards circuit again with Third Person. Interested?
