Red Bull Asks to Inspire Tarantino in 'Django' Emerging Artist Contest

Do you think you have what it takes to inspire Quentin Tarantino? The Weinstein Co. has partnered with Red Bull to launch a new contest around Tarantino's upcoming spaghetti western Django Unchained. Contestants will have two weeks (starting June 15th) to create and submit an "original multi-media piece", featuring footage from the Django trailer (now online here) or Tarantino's favorite spaghetti westerns, that will be viewed and judged by Quentin and his team. There has already been a lot of fan art made for Django, now they're asking fans to take it to the next level and actually "inspire" Tarantino with their design work.
Here's the introductory video posted on the Red Bull contest site, featuring Tarantino talking about how to find your own inspiration, "your own voice", for this design contest. The Weinstein Company and Red Bull North America are excited to announce an online contest for emerging artists/filmmakers with Quentin Tarantino at the helm. Quentin has charged filmmakers with the challenge to "find your own voice," and has exclusively harnessed the power of Red Bull Media House to help get the word out. The contest gives fans a chance to create an original piece, whether it’s poster art, a funny .gif or a short film. Watch below:
Starting on June 15th, lasting until June 30th, contestants will have the opportunity to inspire Quentin Tarantino with their own original content. The piece must be a maximum of three minutes in length and incorporate footage from either the Django Unchained trailer (here), or one of three of Quentin Tarantino’s favorite spaghetti westerns that inspired the creation of Django Unchained. Included in these are: Django, directed by Sergio Corbucci (1966); The Grand Duel, directed by Giancarlo Santi (1972) and Day of Anger, directed by Tonino Valerii (1967). In addition, contestants must include a musical track from one of Red Bull Records featured bands including: platinum recording artist AWOLNATION, the UK’s breakout artist of the year Twin Atlantic and dance chart artists Innerpartysytem as a part of the pieces soundtrack.
All submissions will be viewed and judged by the master himself. Starting today contestants can log-on to django.redbullusa.com for more detailed contest information and to register as an official contestant. The one lucky winner and guest will get the chance of a lifetime to meet Quentin Tarantino at Comic Con in San Diego this summer. The runner up will receive authentic Django Unchained memorabilia and other prizes and a Red Bull Fan Pick prize will also be awarded. Sounds pretty cool. Let us know if you submit anything!

Revolvers Spin / Horses Hinny / Dusts to the Up / Gangs Coming / Saddles Blaze / Eagle Fly / High Noon / Guns Drown / Western Mans Back This is Tarantino's Love Letter to his beloved western genre. This is HorsePunch of Tarantino to those that forget Western Effect on history of cinema. This pass on red lines , break the rules , jump from boundaries & redifine genre and give ultimate pleasure to those who want experience something memorable. Most original screenplay in this years was a failed movie called Cowboys vs Aliens,a lame messy forgettable movie, other great westerns were remake of some old westerns ( like 3:10 or etc) I think most original modern western was " There Will Be Blood " and even " No Country For Oldman " but they didn't build on western foundation totally, just had some symbols and elements. Some said this Django is not Original too, they say This is copycat and Tarantino derive it from another classic also, but first Tarantino inspire many movie but turn them to original one and he had skillfull for that and second if even their words was true and this was remade of that, Forget about Them ! Tarantino Always Bring Back The Dead To The Life (Don't Forget Needle Scene In Pulp Fiction) Scent of " Sergio Leone " may come
