SAG Awards Winners 2012 - 'The Help', Viola Davis & Jean Dujardin
The Artist is on a roll with awards this weekend, next comes Oscar glory. The 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony was broadcast live from Los Angeles tonight. What separates the annual SAG awards from the Golden Globes and the Oscars is not only its exclusivity to honoring only performers, but it's the only award show where the best performances are chosen by their fellow acting peers. The winners of the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards have been announced, and we have the official list of all the motion picture winners (for everything else, head to Deadline). It was a big night for The Help, and Jean Dujardin.

"I was a very bad student," Best Actor winner Jean Dujardin said in his speech. "I didn't listen in class, I was always dreaming. My teachers called me 'Jean of the Moon', and I realize now that I never stopped dreaming. Thank you very much for this dream." Viola Davis echoed similar dreamy sentiments: "What is there but a dream. You can’t trade in your dream for another dream." Congratulations to all of this year's SAG Awards winners. This is definitely a big indication that The Artist will certainly get some Oscar love, but it's also good to see The Help getting some decent recognition, too, for everyone who's in it. Thoughts?

NAY! its an atrocity that a French actor, in a reviatlized "vision" from the 20s, gets to be honored by the SGA in AMERICA! TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT!

Unless Clooney goes from front runner to spoiler. But SAG did make the lead categories very interesting this year.
