Snow White and the Huntsman Trailer

"Let them come…" Universal has unleashed the second full-length trailer for Rupert Sanders' Snow White and the Huntsman, in high def on Xfinity, first found via twitter. The trailer premiered at WonderCon, plus there is an "extended first look" here. This epic, dark, Lord of the Rings-like take on the classic fairytale stars Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Chris Hemsworth as the "Huntsman", and Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen. Everyone seemed excited by all the visuals in the first teaser trailer, and this one builds on those, giving us even more glimpses of how badass this looks and the awesome fight scenes we'll see. Enjoy!

Watch the second theatrical trailer for Rupert Sanders' Snow White and the Huntsman, via Xfinity:

In this new epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart plays the only person in the land fairer than the Evil Queen Ravenna (Theron) out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Hemsworth) who was dispatched to kill her. Actors Eddie Izzard, Ray Winstone, Bob Hoskins, Toby Jones, Stephen Graham, Eddie Marsan and Ian McShane play dwarfs. This is being directed by Rupert Sanders, an acclaimed commercials director making his feature debut. Arrives in theaters on June 1st this summer.

Superb. Excited for this. But yet again - trailer just gives too much away.

mubzymalone on Mar 19, 2012

Like the fact its got Dwarfs?  Never saw that one coming....

Steven on Mar 19, 2012

Like the fact that the Queen gets a hunstmen against his will to kill Snow White but when he sees her he fallis in love with her/realises she's good and the Queen is evil and thus helps her build an army(?) to take on the Queen. That.

mubzymalone on Mar 20, 2012

Serious - if they said just that the Queen would use a guy to thunt down Snow White, you should be able to guess the rest from the fable.  It aint rocket science...

Steven on Mar 20, 2012

Yes I should be able to guess it. But I don't want to see it all before the movie in the trailer.

mubzymalone on Mar 21, 2012

I don't know...just not feeling it. I mean, no matter how slick the visuals are and how much action they put it's still Snow White, and that's still Kristen Stewart, and it's just a little hoaky.

Chris_G on Mar 19, 2012

I think Kristen is going to do amazing in this 🙂 And who says Snow White can't be badass once in a while? lol

Unique Jenique on Mar 19, 2012

Who ever made this trailer needs to be fired right away.. what the fuck is he/she doing giving the movie away like that..

None on Mar 19, 2012

Does look good, but yep that's a full story trailer style. I reckon it will still have a lot more to offer.

Crapola on Mar 19, 2012

Is the music by Hans Zimmer?

Dhiram on Mar 19, 2012

No. James Newton Howard

Unique Jenique on Mar 19, 2012

Sounds very much like Zimmer.

Dhiram on Mar 19, 2012

The trailermusic sounds like a blatant ripoff of Mind Heist, which is sad because Zach Hemsey doesn't benefit or profit from it in any way. Jablonsky did the same thing in Transformers DoTM.. Unfair. Hemsey deserves all the attention he can get.

Honestly who cares?

A Villa88 on Mar 19, 2012

... Let's say you wrote a script for a movie (not very realistic, I know, seeing as your comment doesn't exactly ooze with intelligence.) and someone stole it. A while later a movie comes out which is the exact same as the one you wrote, only with small changes in names or locations etc. It makes a lot of money, and you don't receive any of it nor any recognition. Would you not care? I also hope you understand that this is just an example, and that it is the principle that matters.

tt on Mar 19, 2012

It's by Danny Cocke, the song is "World Collapsing", they used it in the first trailer as well.

Daren on Mar 19, 2012

oh, the folks complaining here about the trailer giving too much guys don't know the story of Snow White? lol

guest on Mar 19, 2012

kinda agree with you, but I guess this movie is trying to renew the genre with some tweaks in the script in order to differ from the well-known story of snow white. I guess people just want to be surprised when it's gonna be out.

Allangba5 on Mar 20, 2012

It's not just a matter of knowing the story beforehand.  Is it necessary to show the visuals of how the story will be told in this particular film?  Every idiot knows the story of Snow White.  This particular film seems to have depicted it with some unique and striking visuals, and plot twists.  Which have now all been shown to us.  If there's more that's great.  But they sure did give away most of it already.

Reader1984 on Apr 11, 2012

Interesting. Still have reservations for some reason.

Quanah on Mar 19, 2012

Yea I'm kind of with you... Visually it looks awesome, will have some great fights, but still nervous for the actual story/movie itself.

Alex Billington on Mar 19, 2012

With Drive's Hossein Amini having worked on the script, not too concerned. Rupert Sanders' Wondercon interview also a revelation, he's as passionate about the story and character backstories as he is the effects.

kvaughn75 on Mar 20, 2012

me too, quanah. i'm usually gung-ho over this kind of stuff. and, the visuals looks top-notch.........but, i'm just not sold.

beevis on Mar 19, 2012

I guess it's the casting. Although I'm not a KS hater, and I don't think she's a horrible actress, I'm still stuck on her role of "Em" in Adventureland. I'm having a hard time seeing her as the "fairest of them all." I can think of 3 or 4 actresses that could have fit that description. But, I reserve judgement. I'll see what others say about it before I see it.

Quanah on Mar 20, 2012

i hear ya! i'm not fond of KS or CT. this isn't to say i won't watch movies they're in - it's just i've never been blown away by them.

beevis on Mar 21, 2012

This one looks incredible but too much give-away...why do this Hollywood? Why?

Hkj789 on Mar 19, 2012

You've never heard/read/seen the story of Snow White?

HyperJ on Mar 19, 2012

Charlize can act, shudder haters!

Greg654 on Mar 19, 2012

she's ok - not great tho.

beevis on Mar 19, 2012

I loved her in Monster. Kristen kind of ruins the whole magic of the trailer. Probably for the whole movie. I can't stand her face and her dumb eyes.

Neal on Mar 19, 2012

I can't stand your dumb attitude

kvaughn75 on Mar 20, 2012

Agreed @ KS ... same expressions as always, nothing new... Charlize is carrying this film on her shoulders for sure

Aliza on Mar 23, 2012

Richard Canlas on Mar 19, 2012

Looks amazing. The director's Halo TV spots from a few years back showed just how awesome this guy is.

Jezebel on Mar 19, 2012

Looks really good.Stewart doesn't bother me at all,the camera loves her.

tir na nog on Mar 19, 2012

Charlize looks like she is having quite a lot of fun being evil.

John on Mar 19, 2012

Very slick!!!  Just love the TRON/Inception inspired music, wonder if that really is what James Newton Howard's score will sound like or if it's just a place holder. BTW, does anyone think 1:38 is a nod to Miyazaki/Princess Mononoke?:P

RidgeRacer4 on Mar 19, 2012

Does the trailer display a lot of the film?  Sure.  But we all heard Grimm's tales as kids and we all bloody well know this story.  There aren't any surprises here.  They put the world of the film out there for everyone to see and this sells it to the non-fan boys around the world.  And because of these trailers the buzz out there is much stronger than it otherwise would have been.

Bob Jones on Mar 19, 2012

Two hot chicks? I am in ... Charlize is so damn hot and Kristen will be hot! Great trailer!

Razor on Mar 19, 2012

Nicely done. Hopefully Stewart will be able to shake off the twilight and show us some better acting skills.

Xerxexx on Mar 19, 2012

that's a TALL order your hoping she can take

Jericho on Mar 19, 2012

True. Very true. Fingers crossed.

Xerxexx on Mar 19, 2012

I don't understand what's going on with Kristen stewart about her acting skill ? i mean can't she act properly ?haven't seen twilight saga, so i don't really know her.

Allangba5 on Mar 20, 2012

Before Twilight she was doing great. She did a film called "Speak" and she was fantastic.

Xerxexx on Mar 21, 2012

IMO: Kristen Stewart = The female version of Shia LaBeouf,  he can ruin any movie he is in.

Gray_rid on Mar 19, 2012

What are u talking about? Shia is a decent actor.

toan on Mar 19, 2012

To say KStew is ugly, you are probably just pissed about Twilight. She has a GREAT face. sureheractingisdebatable But I'm excited :T IT SURE BEATS MIRROR MIRROR, I think we can all agree on that.

fem!anon on Mar 19, 2012

I'm seeing this for the visuals and because Hemsworth is such a badass..

jah p on Mar 19, 2012

i see a lot of visuals, charlize, and powerful music. the story could be campy, or amazing. attaching lord of the rings though to all the articles is building it up to something that it will probably not be.

guest on Mar 19, 2012

Alex, did you actually use this in a sentence with the Lord of the Rings?...:)

darthwhitey on Mar 19, 2012

a lot of outlets are saying it looks like lord of the rings. i don't see it. there is a 5 min extended preview floating around online, and the accents sound horrible. stewart actually sounds ok, but chris and charlize?  i think this will be a lot of hype with visuals and an amazing score, and not too much else.  they were smart not to open this the same month as the hobbit.

guest on Mar 19, 2012

wow, this actually looks pretty cool. didn't ever think i'd say that... especially with kristen stewart leading in this.

Race Bannon on Mar 19, 2012

2:13, why she sucks. Same face as every twilight movie. What is that emotion, i just don't know.

Coltman15 on Mar 19, 2012

Giving away much? Well, I'm afraid this had to show the idiots that this is not another campy movie.

Jedibilly on Mar 19, 2012

"Eh, 'Mirror, Mirror' looks better." - said by no one, ever.

Tfish89 on Mar 19, 2012

why people worried about story yet are amped for avengers yeah a villian and good guys come together to fight him off how deep lol

HG2012 on Mar 19, 2012

There's some great actors playing the dwarves. Hoskins, McShane, and Winstone? Hell yes!

grimjob on Mar 19, 2012

would love to enjoy this...but i can't stand Kristen Steward. she just can't act. I would watch this if she wore a bag on her head. please?

Trolololololololol on Mar 19, 2012

As for "ripping off music" for trailers,  all trailers use others music, whether they be songs or score from other films.  The music for SWATH hasn't been recorded yet.  And yes, all artists whose tracks are used are paid for the privilege. Relax.

stingaree on Mar 20, 2012

I saw Wulfgar the Barbarian, Catti-brie and I think Bruenor Battlehammer

Christian Koops on Mar 22, 2012

K'Stoner is the weakest link in this film, SAME expressions she has given in ALL her films so far... Charlize is awesome as always. Charlize is definitely carrying this film on her shoulders...
