See Six-Minutes of 'Amazing Spider-Man' at 'Men in Black 3' IMAX 3D
So if that last trailer wasn't enough to get you crazy excited, or the four-minute "super preview" for The Amazing Spider-Man still hasn't tickled your fancy, this weekend Columbia Pictures is going to try again. If you happen to catch an IMAX 3D screening of Men in Black 3, you'll get to see six-minutes of The Amazing Spider-Man. EW says the footage premieres with midnight screenings of the sci-fi sequel this Thursday evening, but remember, that it's only at IMAX 3D screens. It's not exactly clear whether this is an entire scene like The Dark Knight or The Dark Knight Rises or a few different snippets and a montage.
There seems to be some pretty good buzz about this film so far, but Columbia Pictures knows they have some work to do in order to convince audiences that rebooting a popular franchise so soon after the conclusion of the previous set of films by Sam Raimi will be worth their time. For me, I like the new angle they're taking with Peter Parker and the mystery behind his parents' past and death. Plus, Andrew Garfield looks to be a truly fantastic Spider-Man and the rest of the cast including Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen and Sally Field is nothing to bat an eye at. If you see the new footage from The Amazing Spider-Man, let us know what you think!
Do people really care?

The Amazing Spiderman is too unoriginal to be worth my time.

I'm already excited for the movie. It has a great cast of actors and actresses, seems to have a better knack than the Raimi films for keeping the characters true to the comics in terms of personality, and visually it's stunning.

I'll admit some level of excitement for the film ... but trying to piggy back on MIB3 for some kind of joint, manipulative promotion is no way to go. If I go I'll go because it looks interesting. Not because of this lame attempt to get me to see MIB3. hahaha But I suppose if it MAY somehow convince families going to see the family friendly MIB3 to see Amazing Spidey ... that may be worth it. About as much as 7-11 promos got people to see THOR. (which hey, by marketing standards, you gotta do whatcha gotta do, am I right?) This promotion does not affect my desire to see the flick. The footage so far looks increasingly good - and based on his other work, I have high hopes for Andrew Garfield.

Wow, they must be desperate to get asses on seats for MIB3D.

Yeah, no. Nice try, though. I'm neither gonna pay money to see MIB nor do I wanna see anymore footage from Spider-Man before that movie releases.

The "Spider-Man", flick has me sold, already! I just wouldn't go for the I-MAX showing, let alone a midnight showing of MIB-3. Although, I've seen the previous 2 installments, I'm still on the fence for the MIB flick. It just feels too much like a quick cash grab!

I love how half the people don't care because there is no way they are going to see Amazing Spider Man, and the other half don't care because they have no interest in MIB3. Personally, I think Spider Man looks like a real stinker. I do hope Marvel makes a deal with Sony, I just also hope they're smart enough to cast Tobey for Avengers, if that day should ever come.
