Sound of The Avengers - Hulk

Previously we've featured the SoundWorks Collection featurettes which delve into the sound design, editing and recording for films like John Carter and The Hunger Games. However, when it comes to a film like The Avengers, with a whole slew of sounds and more for no less than six superheros, one mischeivous villain, and a plethora of aliens all coming together in the streets of New York City, that's quite an epic focus. Thankfully, SoundWorks dives into the work that went into seamlessly blending the sounds from five previous films, figuring out new sounds for Hulk, and all of the clashing and smashing on the big screen.

Here's the cool featurette on the sound of Joss Whedon's The Avengers from SoundWorks Collection:

When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. The star studded cast includes Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Cobie Smulders, as well as Tom Hiddleston and Stellan Skarsgård who are reprising their respective roles from Thor. Marvel's The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon (Serenity), hit theaters May 4th. Go see it!

Best comic book movie I've ever seen!  This is what I've been waiting on for a long time.  For the next one, they need to bring in The Amazing Spiderman!  In fact, a great extra scene in TAS would be Nick Fury waiting in Peter Parker's apt and asking him to bring his talents to The Avengers.  LOL!!  Of course it's not gonna happen but it would have been a nice surprise and build-up for Avengers 2.
