Sundance 2012 Interview: Tim and Eric and Their Billion Dollar Movie
by Ethan Anderton
January 30, 2012
Hopefully our video blog has already convinced some of you to check out Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie as the film is now available to rent on iTunes, YouTube and VOD right now (with a theatrical release coming in March), but now you can hear more about the film from Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim themselves as I sat down and interviewed the comedic duo during the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. Tim and Eric talk about how their film was sadly "Rango'd" by Robert Redford and the festival, the state of comedy today, a sensitive project with Chris Kattan, and what makes the best kind of Shrim. Watch below!
My interview with Tim Heidecker & Eric Wareheim from Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie:
Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim wrote and directed Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie which finds the duo given a billion dollars to make a movie. However, things go completely awry, and Tim and Eric end up leaving Hollywood and show business altogether to become businessmen in a semi-abandoned mall. Zach Galifianakis, John C. Reilly, Will Ferrell, Jeff Goldblum, Will Forte, William Atheron (Walter Peck from Ghostbusters) and veteran actor Robert Loggia all make appearances in the crazy film which Magnet already sent to VOD on January 27th, before it makes its way to select theaters later this year starting March 2nd.

it means robert redford himself spliced footage of the movie rango into tim and erics movie. they had an extremely difficult time getting the rango footage removed, and i think they succeeded. but it cost them a shit load in legal fee's.

That video start-off-still looks like they're going to kill the interviewer. Wareheim strikes first.
