Man of Steel

So far only a first look photo and a dark logo for Man of Steel have been revealed, but hot on the heels of some stunning footage from Zack Snyder's new take on The Big Blue Boy Scout (check out our video blog for our reaction), the first official teaser poster for the film has finally surfaced. This poster was handed out at Comic-Con and signed by Snyder and Superman himself, Henry Cavill, but you'll just have to settle for the poster on its own. It's got Superman in some film noir style lighting, and it echoes the surprising subtlety from the footage shown at Comic-Con that we're not used to seeing from a Zack Synder film. Look!

Here's the first teaser poster for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel from the film's Facebook page:

Man of Steel - Teaser Poster

In Zack Snyder's Superman, Henry Cavill plays the new Clark Kent, who goes toe-to-toe with General Zod, played by Michael Shannon. The main cast also includes Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Diane Lane & Kevin Costner as Martha & Jonathan Kent and even Russell Crowe as Jor-El. Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christoper Nolan and Deborah Snyder are producing. The screenplay was written by David S. Goyer, based on a story by Goyer and Nolan. Man of Steel is now scheduled for release next summer June 14th, 2013.

Great shot. I like how the material has an 'alien chainmail' look to it. Much like my beard, at first I didn't like, but then it started to grow on me.

Just beautiful 🙂

Mandrake the Magician was there before Superman in terms of comic books. But if you look at history and mythology there is a plethora of them before Superman.Like Paul Bunyan,Hercules,Gilgamesh ect.Any world culture and folklore has at least one if not a whole bunch of them. But yeah Supermen is the most known one.I bet there is not a single human who had contact with modern civilization that does not know about Superman.

yeah, ok, but the movie ain't gonna be about superman walking down the runway (aww man, i WISH). i'm nervous for this movie.

Stupid fucking title. Just call it Superman!

josh on Jul 15, 2012

Might as well call The Dark Knight... Batman 2 and the Dark Knight Rises Batman 3 right? No its called alternate name just like they call Spiderman Wall Crawler, Robin the boy wonder. DareDevil the man without fear. The title is fine.

Feels like a cheap cash in on how they succesfully did it with TDK.

It's actually a cool title Josh. Look on the bright least it's not called The Blue Boyscout. HAHA!!

Boss Jones on Jul 16, 2012

Josh it's actually a cool title since the world also knows Superman as the Man of Steel. Just be glad it's not called Blue Boyscout. lol

I really hope this movie turns out to be great, I hope you can notice more of Nolan's touch than Snyders... Zack Snyder's movies tend to look awsome but the final package... not good...

Like it.

The new Superman/Jor-El costumes look more like armor instead of clothes. Brandon Routh's costume was just right IMO. They made modifications so it looked up to date without over-doing it. I understand times change, but that doesn't mean nearly totally change the look and concept. I still believe they should have stuck with Routh and just gave him a better villian and story besides being a stalker and going up against Lex Luthor. Superman's universe is so broad but yet Hollywood doesn't seem to wanna go past LL and Zod. Maybe after this movie ends we'll see an extra scene showing Darkseid, Calibak and Granny Goodness observing the Man of Steel...then panning out showing Darkseid's army/minions until you see nothing but Apocolips from outer space.

The new costumes look more like armor instead of clothing. I liked Brandon Routh's costume because it was modernized, but they didn't over-do it.
