TGB Episode 113: The Modern Day Musical (Guest: Darren Bousman)

June 14, 2012

The Golden Briefcase - The Devil's Carnival

On this week's episode of The Golden Briefcase, Tim & Jeremy are joined by esteemed guest Darren Lynn Bousman (director of Saw II-IV, 11-11-11, Repo! The Genetic Opera, The Devil's Carnival) to go over their latest Picks of the Week, the newest DVD & Blu-Ray releases, new trailers for Disney's Wreck-It Ralph and Robert Zemeckis' Flight and much more. The main topic of the night was around modern musicals in honor of Rock of Ages hitting theaters this week. The guys talk with Darren about his love for the genre, his experience making two horror themed musicals, and where they all want to see the genre go from there.

The Golden Briefcase is also broadcast LIVE on Wednesday nights starting ~7:30PM PST. You can listen in via our Ustream page or by visiting our own live page right here on FS. The podcast is just as fun to listen to live while it's being recorded, with plenty of special guests, so I suggest you tune in the next time it records!

Awesome! Watching 'Enter Nowhere' soon, can't wait. When I first looked it up it had a 2.8 on IMDb and 34 votes and now that you guys mentioned it it has a 6.4 and almost 1,000 votes. Coincidence? I don't think so 🙂
