GOLDEN BRIEFCASE
TGB Episode 129: Franchise Casting Roulette (Guest: Jen Yamato)
by Tim Buel
October 18, 2012
On this week's episode of The Golden Briefcase, Tim and Jeremy are joined by Jen Yamato from Movieline to go through their latest picks of the week, the newest DVD & Blu-Ray releases, plus new trailers for Kathrine Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty and Kimberly Peirce's Carrie remake and much more. The main topic of the night was a discussion regarding actors shuffling in and out of franchise roles, in honor of filmmaker/actor Tyler Perry appearing in this weekend's release Alex Cross. They go over some of the most notable franchise acting changes and debate the positives and negatives of this casting method. Listen in!
The Golden Briefcase is also broadcast LIVE on Wednesday nights starting ~7:30PM PST. You can listen in via our Ustream page or by visiting our own live page right here on FS. The podcast is just as fun to listen to live while it's being recorded, with plenty of special guests, so I suggest you tune in the next time it records!
