TGB - Steven Spielberg

On this week's episode of The Golden Briefcase, Tim and Jeremy are joined by movie lover, podcaster, and filmmaker Dan Trachtenberg (of The Totally Rad Show, Crime of the Century, Portal: No Escape) to go over their latest picks of the week, the newest DVD & Blu-ray releases, new trailers for Stephanie Myer's The Host and Marc Forster's World War Z and much more. The main topic of the night was regarding the legendary director Steven Spielberg, in honor of his new film Lincoln hitting theaters this weekend. The guys talk over his illustrious career, his directorial trademarks and where they hope he will go in the future!

The Golden Briefcase is also broadcast LIVE on Wednesday nights starting ~7:30PM PST. You can listen in via our Ustream page or by visiting our own live page right here on FS. The podcast is just as fun to listen to live while it's being recorded, with plenty of special guests, so I suggest you tune in the next time it records!

I have no knowledge of World War Z as a book...but judging it as a film on it's looks fantastic. The sort of 'epic' take on Zombie movies hasn't really been done. Seeing the relentless horde crawling over one another like termites was really fresh.

As a fan of Spielberg this episode was a pleasure to listen to. I'm glad Tim mentioned that he likes Munich, very underrated film IMO. My favorite of his remains Schindler's List, it's just incredible. Looking forward to Lincoln, although a couple of my favorite critics weren't big on it, so my expectations aren't that high anymore. I'm glad everyone's looking forward to 'Warm Bodies' 🙂 and I now have regained interest in 'Savages', thank you Dan!
