TGB Episode 136: 'Patron Saint of Smart Asses' (Guest: Fatboy Roberts)
by Tim Buel
December 6, 2012
On this week's episode of The Golden Briefcase, Tim & Jeremy are joined by podcaster Bobby 'Fatboy' Roberts, of The Cort and Fatboy Show, to go through their latest picks of the week, the newest in DVD & Blu-ray releases, new trailers for Shane Carruth's next film Upstream Color and Roman Coppala's Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III and much more. The main topic of the night was about prolific comedy actor Bill Murray, in honor of his film Hyde Park on Hudson hitting theaters. The guys go over some of the high and low points of his expansive career and talk about what makes Mr. Bill Murray so damn likable!
The Golden Briefcase is also broadcast LIVE on Wednesday nights starting ~7:30PM PST. You can listen in via our Ustream page or by visiting our own live page right here on FS. The podcast is just as fun to listen to live while it's being recorded, with plenty of special guests, so I suggest you tune in the next time it records.

I think you should give Roman Coppola a chance. The way they cut the trailer clearly is to use Wes Anderson's brand, but that doesn't mean the movie will be a WA ripoff. Also, Fatboy is being a bit unfair when he says that Wes' lesser films were co-written by Roman, especially considering he collaborated with him on what is considered one of his best (Moonrise Kingdom). And don't even get me started on what he said about Sofia.. Man, I enjoyed this episode, but that was unfair I think. Then again I am her biggest fan, so there. Speaking about fanboyism, you guys definitely are not a "fanboy podcast". Any person with some sense can see that. And even if you were (which you're not), I'd still love your show and listen to it every week!
