TGB Episode 96: They Re-Release Anything (Guest: James McCormick)

February 9, 2012

The Golden Briefcase - Star Wars

On this week's episode of The Golden Briefcase, Tim & Jeremy are joined by James McCormick of The Criterion Cast to go through their Picks of the Week, the newest in DVD & Blu-Ray releases, talk through the new trailers for Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man and Tony Gilroy's The Bourne Legacy and much more! The main topic of the night was a discussion on re-releasing films in theaters in honor of Episode I: The Phantom Menace getting a re-release in 3D starting this weekend. The guys go over some notable re-releases of the past and talk over their feelings about Star Wars returning again to theaters near you.

The Golden Briefcase is also broadcast LIVE on Wednesday nights starting ~7:30PM PST. You can listen in via our Ustream page or by visiting our own live page right here on FS. The podcast is just as fun to listen to live while it's being recorded, with plenty of special guests, so I suggest you tune in the next time it records!

Hip-Hip Hooray Its Golden Briefcase Day! The only re-release in recent memory that was better than the original was THE LION KING.

I would love to see Terminator 2 Judgment Day on the big screen, OMG that film still holds up effects wise whenever I watch it! But to see it at my theatre...something I couldn't do at the age of 10.
