TGB Episode 97: Taking The Reigns (Guest: Darren Lynn Bousman)

February 16, 2012

The Golden Briefcase - Ghost Rider

On this week's episode of The Golden Briefcase, Tim & Jeremy are joined by director Darren Lynn Bousman (of Saw II-IV, Mother's Day, 11-11-11) to go over their Picks of the Week, new DVD & Blu-Ray releases, new trailers for Drafthouse Films' The FP and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and more. The main topic was a discussion on new directors taking over franchises (in honor of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance). Darren gets into detail about his experience taking over the Saw franchise and some of the hardships he faced. They also go over their favorite new franchise directors and discuss if it's good or bad.

The Golden Briefcase is also broadcast LIVE on Wednesday nights starting ~7:30PM PST. You can listen in via our Ustream page or by visiting our own live page right here on FS. The podcast is just as fun to listen to live while it's being recorded, with plenty of special guests, so I suggest you tune in the next time it records!

Hip-Hip-Hooray Its Golden Briefcase Day! Cronenberg's take on Batman would be cool. Maybe Michael Mann or the Coen Brothers? Anyways have a good day.
