The Guns of Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf and Jason Clarke in 'Lawless'
The first trailer for Lawless (which Alex enjoyed at Cannes) made it hard for us not to include John Hillcoat's Prohibition based drama on our list of 20 Movies You Can Still Look Forward to in the Second Half of 2012, and we're still very much excited to see the film. A batch of character posters surfaced not too long ago, but now a new bit of hype has surfaced in weaponry. MTV has a cool banner breaking down the specs of the guns carried by the brothers played by Tom Hardy and Jason Clarke plus lawman Guy Pearce. This is the first of six banners like this that will show up each week so stay tuned. Check it out!
Here's the first detailed gun banner for John Hillcoat's Lawless from MTV:
John Hillcoat (The Road, The Proposition) is directing Lawless from a screenplay by Nick Cave which is based on Matt Bondurant's novel The Wettest County in the World. The film follows a bootlegging gang (Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf and Jason Clarke) in Depression-era Franklin County, Virginia, threatened by authorities who want a cut of their profits. Jessica Chastain, Gary Oldman, Mia Wasikowska, Guy Pearce, Noah Taylor and up-and-comer Dane DeHaan (from Chronicle) also appear in this. The Weinstein Company first premiered the film at the Cannes Film Festival and will be releasing Lawless on August 31st this year.
Gangsters All Back I'm fan of this crime genre : American Gangster , Public Enemy , Eastern Promises even Bullhead , Mesrine & A Prophet were all wonderful. I want see real Charismatic Anti-Heros . Al Capone & Johny Dillinger must be symboblic for this actors. Mobs must be depict believably. Charactrization is eveything. We must feel sympaty for this guys. Incredible Cast . I really pleased to see all of this great actors in ONE gangstery movie. Mia Wasikowska & Jessica Chastain beside eachother are extraordinary either. I think Gangster Squad would be better than Lawless but certainly love both of them.
