Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake

In the real world, singer turned actor Justin Timberlake and actress Jessica Biel are engaged, but now in Hollywood, the two will also have a professional relationship as well. THR has confirmed that Biel and Chloe Moretz will star in The Devil in the Deep Blue Sea, a new drama from Bill Purple, an assistant director on films like Green Lantern and Bad Teacher, making his feature film debut. In addition, Timberlake is venturing into a new job in film as he will compose the soundtrack for the film and act as the music supervisor as well. Could we be looking at a whole new career for Timberlake yet again? More below!

Jeffrey Dean Morgan has also been revealed to star in the film as Henry, a grieving widower who recently lost his wife (Biel) in a car accident, as he finds refuge by helping a wisecracking young girl (Moretz) fulfill her dream of building a raft and sailing across the Atlantic Ocean. At one time, Zach Braff said he was going to star in this film (something I would really have liked to see), but it appears he's been replaced with Morgan unless there's some smaller supporting role we don't know about. Either way, it sounds like an interesting drama, and I'm eager to hear what Timberlake can do with the soundtrack. After all, he was a musician first, and fans have been hoping for another album, so maybe this will hold them over for awhile.
