"Why don't I know anything about you?" DreamWorks Pictures has unveiled the first official trailer for Alex Kurtzman's People Like Us, his new drama starring Chris Pine, Olivia Wilde, Elizabeth Banks and Michelle Pfeiffer. Kurtzman, the co-writer of scripts like Star Trek, is making his directorial debut. The inspired by true events story stars Pine as Sam, a fast-talking salesman, whose latest deal collapses on the day his father suddenly dies. He's tasked with taking money to a sister he never knew, and must rethink everything he thought he knew about his family. Looks charming, summer counter-programming at its best.
Watch the first official trailer for Alex Kurtzman's People Like Us, in high def from Moviefone:
Sam is tasked with delivering $150,000 of his deceased father's fortune to the sister who he has never met.
People Like Us, originally titled Welcome to People, is the directorial debut of screenwriter/producer Alex Kurtzman, known as one half of Kurtzman/Orci, the writers behind M:I:III, Michael Bay's Transformers 1 & 2, Star Trek 1 & 2 and Cowboys & Aliens. The screenplay was written by Kurtzman, Jody Lambert, and Roberto Orci, his writing colleague. Produced by DreamWorks Pictures, released by Disney/DreamWorks, People Like Us arrives in theaters everywhere this summer starting June 29th. Look like it's worth seeing?

Looks good, but i feel his trailer shows too much of what seemed like him making her fall in love with him.

It's easy to write a story about things that blow up in Hollywood fashion. But to write a great story just about relationships and make it gripping, where you care about them is very hard. Looking forward to this one. And it has some really great talent in there too.

Both him and Orci can't write to save themselves, still at least they changed the tittle because 'Welcome To People' was just fucking awful and thats putting it lightly
