After the stunning box office success of Disney's 3D theatrical re-release of The Lion King, the House of Mouse was eager to get other classics back into theaters for some double dip action. In addition to the return of 2D animated films like Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid planned for re-release, Pixar's hit films Monsters Inc. and Finding Nemo were also going to get the 3D theatrical re-release treatment, and now we have a brief teaser trailer for the latter underwater adventure. Obviously, this trailer is more effective in 3D, but still brings back fond memories of Marlin and Dory scouring the sea for Nemo.
Here's the teaser trailer for Disney's 3D re-release of Pixar's Finding Nemo, embedded from Disney:
Finding Nemo comes from those geniuses at Pixar and is co-directed by Andrew Stanton (WALL-E, A Bug's Life) and Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3) with a script by Stanton, Bob Peterson and David Reynolds. When his son, Nemo is taken from him by a diver, Marlin the clown fish (Albert Brooks) sets off on a journey to rescue him. Together with Dory, a blue tang fish with short term memory loss voiced by Ellen DeGeneres, they set off through the oceans, whilst joining a club with Australian sharks, dodging jellyfish and catching a current with sea turtles. Finding Nemo hits theaters all over again in 3D on September 14th this year. Sea it!

YEEHA!! This is my favorite Pixar film to date! I will be there for sure! The 3D should be fantastic. Thanks Disney! "He touched the butt."

Good, we can finally expect Nemo on bluray. The Little Mermaid wouldn't hurt.

Hollywood is loving the fact that they don't even have to remake films anymore. Just rerelease it in 3d and you are set.

Then what happens after they've exhausted the back catalog? It's a worry. Not much original is coming out of Hollywood anymore. Good stories not gimmicks are what's needed.

How about just Nemo on Blu Ray and no 3D?
