Watch: Duncan Jones-Directed UK TV Commercial for Virgin Money
This is an odd video to feature, but it's cool nonetheless, and directed by one of our favorite directors, Duncan Jones (of Moon, Source Code). The Playlist found a TV commercial for Virgin Group, Richard Branson brand's, new bank offering in Europe - Virgin Money. The spot was directed by Duncan Jones, and features cool CGI of the various Virgin Ventures, from space shuttles to airlines to trains (really?) to the record company that started it all. It's titled "40 Years of Better" and is pretty damn cool for an ad. It also uses Daft Punk's track "Outlands" from the Tron Legacy score, but it works well. Watch the video below!
The update on the full commercial, as seen above, comes from Duncan's blog at Man Made Movies (via The Playlist). Filmed in London at Shepperton studios in the UK (where the also shot Moon), in October 2011, this new commercial for Virgin Money was premiered on January 8th on UK TV channel ITV. "We've come a long long way over the last 40 years with the simple aim of making things better. And now our quest takes us into banking" Virgin says. Duncan commented, saying "Great fun working with some of the same model miniature peeps I did Moon with!" It's a cool video, but I'm wondering what movie we'll see him direct next.

Doesn't the V.O sound like Judie Dench / M from 007 ?

Maybe the Dame recorded it 40 years ago? Similar voice and speech patterns, but way too young.
