The Dark Knight Rises Featurettes

It's less than two weeks, meaning it's time to pull out the big guns. Warner Bros has unveiled (found via The Film Stage) a couple of featurettes, one 13 mins. long, to go along with all the footage, TV spots, trailers, posters and everything else for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. At this point, I'm not even watching any, and I suggest you don't either until seeing TDKR, to savor the experience for the theater. Both of these show a lot of footage, with talking heads with cast & crew, and a few behind-the-scenes moments behind this epic finale. The videos are below IF you want to watch them, but it's entirely at your discretion.

Here's the first featurette for Chris Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, originally in Dew Gotham City:

Here's the second very long featurette for Chris Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, from YouTube:

Eight years after The Dark Knight, the terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to the limits, forcing its former hero Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent.

The Dark Knight Rises is once again directed by Oscar nominated British filmmaker Christopher Nolan, of Following, Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Dark Knight and Inception previously. The script was co-written by Christopher & Jonathan Nolan (The Prestige, The Dark Knight), from a story by Chris Nolan & David S. Goyer (of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight). Warner Bros is bringing The Dark Knight Rises to regular and IMAX theaters everywhere on July 20th later this month. The Legend Ends…

If we and all the people (not just only ALL friends people who write on this site and I admire them) knew worth of cinema as Everlasting Treasure , definitely we would love more ourselves and the others. We would understand better , we would help more . Consecutivly , Whole world would go through the right way. Movies connect us to eachother. Even They get boring , Never betray us. Life & Film is One Thing. Every life of us is great show, in everyone's life exist some moments that deserve to be turn to a movie. Movies arenot just a show , They are alive things with Heart , Mind & Soul. Bravo Lumieres , Bravo USA and his True Magical Beloved Hollywood and Bravo all who try to redeem themselves with arts & pictures and beside that love to deliver us a cup of fountain of youth that they drink it themselves. Bravo to those who know meaning of Human Suffering and work to decrease it with increaseing Beauty of the World by magical arts. Bravo to they that only HATE for them is Absence of Cinema. Yes , dude VIVA CINEMA. LoveU

still csnt believe he has gone to such incredible lengths to build this world and then they are gonna re-boot it. It is the most disappointing I xhave ever saw in film.

StilesStilinski on Jul 8, 2012

22

I think when they reboot it they will go back to Tim Burton's vision of batman only focusing on the mystery and mythology instead of just revealing every little move Batman makes now that people have a better understanding on the background of batman. I just wonder who will play joker this time around and I don't think it will be joker with a scarred face. It is sad though they are rebooting it soo quickly just to get the justice league story off the ground but it's more like Nolan had the show 5 minutes ago now it's time to forget and move on. Nolan will be remembered for changing the face of how comic book movies are done but I don't think the director of Green Lantern was paying attention though.

BinaryChaos on Jul 8, 2012

I would've loved to see Christian Bale and Henry Cavill in the Justice League movie. I'm not expecting for the reboot of Batman to be as good as Nolan's version of the character, in fact I think the Batman role is owned by Christian Bale, but I do expect a decent film. Call me crazy but I think Bradley Cooper would be a good Bruce Wayne. Just saying.

Faceman on Jul 8, 2012

24

I agree I'd love to see Bale and Cavill together for the justice league but Bale has been very adamant in saying he will not do another Batman film without Nolan. I'm not sure about Bradley Cooper because he is well known to be the comedic relief in films added with being a womanizer and I think he would better fit the role as the Flash. I think the best person to take the role as Batman/Bruce Wayne would have to be Ryan Gosling hands down because he knows how to play a dark disturbed character while carrying that great strength of restraint. If you haven't seen him in that light then you should checkout Drive if you haven't seen it yet.

BinaryChaos on Jul 8, 2012

25

Gosling as Batman Gordon-Levitt as Joker

Ehsan Davodi on Jul 8, 2012

Now that would be a great cast 🙂

BinaryChaos on Jul 8, 2012

Almost all of the trailers have just been long teasers, really. I am not too mad at myself for having seen almost everything that's been released to date, because I know Nolan wouldn't let them show anything he didn't want shown. All the magic will still be waiting there for me in the theater come late-night July 19th.

Here's the hottest naked woman in the world, and she wants you, and you alone. There she is. Right in front of you. Yearning. But don't touch her and here's a hammer to smash your balls into mush...until July 20th. Not cool Alex.

so much hype

redskulllives on Jul 8, 2012

32

Can't be helped. A film this big? Yeah, the hype machine is going to go into overdrive. ....But I have a feeling that this film will live up to the hype. I'm not ready to build the Church of Nolan, though. 😎
