"What do you call a bachelorette party without a bride?" TWC's Radius has released a trailer via Apple for the indie comedy Bachelorette, essentially a low-rent alternate take on Bridesmaids, from producers Will Ferrell & Adam McKay. The cast at least includes some pretty faces and talented comedic ladies, including Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher, Lizzy Caplan and Rebel Wilson, plus James Marsden, Adam Scott and Kyle Bornheimer for the guys. This looks like a lot of outrageous comedic fun, but it didn't get the best of reviews at Sundance (see criticWire; Kate Erbland hated it). That said, give it a shot if you're curious.
Here's the first official trailer for Leslye Headland's Bachelorette, originally in high def via Apple:
On the night before an old friend's wedding, three frisky bridesmaids go searching for a little fun but find much more than they bargained for. With lovely Becky (Wilson) set to marry her sweetheart, Dale, the remaining members of her high school clique reunite for one last bachelorette bacchanal in the Big Apple.
Bachelorette was both written & directed by Leslye Headland, making her feature debut after working as a staff writer on "Terriers". This premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. The Weinstein Co's Radius is releasing Bachelorette in limited theaters starting September 7th this fall. Anyone interested?

Feels forced to me since the 'bacholorette party formula' did so well after bridesmaids. Actress who's getting married was in both. Meh...

The only potential for humor in this entire movie will be coming from Lizzy Caplan's performance. Everything else looks like ass.

Wedddiiiiiiiinngs are only good for one thing, getting drunk at. Hasn't there already been enough weddingdong movies this week already? Lizzy Caplan isn't in enough movies though.
