Evil Dead Remake Teaser Footage

"Find out why these movie fans went nuts." So, it was Bruce Campbell? I know we all hate these teasers for the trailer crap, but the studio marketing execs love them, mostly because we continue to watch them (and they're a good reminder the trailer is coming). This latest one (via Bloody-Disgusting) is for Fede Alvarez's Evil Dead remake, produced by Sam Raimi & Bruce Campbell, and it doesn't show too much. The first Evil Dead trailer comes out tomorrow (watch now!) so not long to wait. This video mainly features footage from the New York Comic-Con (NYCC) presentation, where Bruce Campbell was in attendance pimping the film.

Here's the first teaser for the trailer for the teaser for Fede Alvarez's Evil Dead remake, via Facebook:

Update: The full red band trailer for Evil Dead (2013) is now available to watch here! Damn is it bloody.

Evil Dead (2013) is a Raimi-approved-and-produced remake of Sam Raimi's original 1981 low budget horror classic, The Evil Dead. Directing is Fede Alvarez, a Uruguayan filmmaker who broke into Hollywood with his short film Panic Attack, making his feature debut with this. He helped write the script after he came on-board, with Oscar winner Diablo Cody credited on the original draft. The new cast includes Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Jessica Lucas, Lou Taylor Pucci and Elizabeth Blackmore. Sony/Screen Gems will be releasing this new Evil Dead in theaters on April 12th next spring. It's not much, but good so far?

Oh come on! stop doing teasers for the teaser trailers that's just waste of space and time

TOONFED on Oct 23, 2012

Calm down guys the trailer is coming out tomorrow regardless of whether or not you find this to be a waste of your time.

Jon Odishaw on Oct 23, 2012

Wasted a few seconds more of it commenting, eh?

BloodwerK on Oct 23, 2012

Oh shit you too now.

Jon Odishaw on Oct 24, 2012

the lack of comments shows how little people are interested in this. This "teaser" does nothing for me. Bruce Campbell looked like he was faking his best to be happy to be endorsing this. Wonder how much they paid him.

syntaxterror on Oct 23, 2012

Well, as someone who was in the audience, I can tell you how wrong you are. The trailer was freaking amazing, and the crowd went nuts. Bruce was also funny as hell.

Johnson on Oct 23, 2012

good to hear that, i'll reserve judgement until the full trailer. however, my reaction to 'do you want to remake the Evil Dead'?' would have been, hell no, get lost, leave it alone.

son_et_lumiere on Oct 23, 2012

And that's probably why you don't make movies and this guy does. What a retarded attitude.

guest on Oct 23, 2012

hey, i'm prepared to see the trailer and even the film itself if it looks good. i just like the original so much i need to be convinced of the merits first. no need for the insult.

son_et_lumiere on Oct 23, 2012

Agreed. And as far as I'm concerned, it's worse if you remake a movie, instead of making an original, no matter how good the remake turns out to be. It's about principles. Oh, and about manners in conversation...

Isildur_of_Numenor on Oct 24, 2012

Hey kid, There's no internet law that forbids people remaking stuff. A lot of people are excited about remakes. And it makes a lot of sense to do something like this because it introduces Evil Dead to a whole new generation of fans, and some older fans such as myself. But hey, you can always go back to Twilight.

guest on Oct 24, 2012

Of course you can remake stuff. But again, as far as I am concerned (in my *personal opinion* stated above), an original idea makes much more sense than a remake. If you endorse remakes, that's fine by me but that doesn't mean I have to. I don't. Because it bugs me when someone chooses to re-do something that has been done before, instead of coming up with an original idea (even if that idea turns out to be horrible, the next try would benefit from the previous exercise). A whole new generation of fans should expect to see a whole new generation of films. Again, this is my opinion. No disrespect, but your remark about Twilight doesn't show a lot of maturity. But what do I know? I'm just a "kid".

CGI artist turned director. Proceed with caution.

Horror is so dull and boring. The original Evil Dead trilogy was fantastic because it WAS low budget schlock and funny as hell. A new Evil Dead which will be a full on horror? Go and die. It will be boring and dull like all the rest of the genre. And written by Diablo Cody....cause Jennifer's Body turned out sooo well. Good luck with that.

I love the original Evil Dead film, but have to say this looks alrght. Im actually looking forward to this film as well as the Carrie remake.

i saw Necronomicon....my week has been satisfied.....

Considering Bruce was one of the producers I wonder how much he paid himself, How stupid. Sam & Bruce want this and that fact comforts me greatly. I cant wait.
