Pixar's Monsters University Trailer

"I love college!" It's here, it's here! Disney has just revealed the first teaser trailer for Pixar's Monsters University online for our viewing and entertainment. As a reminder, this is just the very first teaser, meant to play in front of Brave this weekend, and it only gives us an intro to the college world of Monsters U. and a reminder that it's coming up next year. Both Billy Crystal and John Goodman are back to voice a younger Mike and Sulley, along with Steve Buscemi as Randall and plenty others. This is just a fun teaser giving us a taste of the Animal House/Revenge of the Nerds shenanigans we're going to get with this. Enjoy!

Here's the first teaser trailer for Pixar's Monsters University, in high def from YouTube:

There are four teaser versions with different jokes, view them on Disney.com, Apple, Yahoo or HuffPo.

Here's another alternate teaser for Pixar's Monsters University, this one comes from Apple:

A look at the relationship between monsters Mike (voiced by Billy Crystal) and Sulley (voiced by John Goodman) during their days at the University of Fear -- when they weren't necessarily the best of friends.

Pixar's Monsters University is being directed by Dan Scanlon, who went from animator to storyboard artist to writer to co-director on Mater and the Ghostlight, making his feature directorial debut. This is a prequel to Pixar's animated movie Monsters Inc, originally released in November of 2001. Disney has Monsters University scheduled for release in Digital 3D everywhere on June 21st, 2013 next summer. Look good?

Dear Alex I really really don't see any trailer or teaser! I don't know why! I just can't. But firstshowing comments tell me everything dude, I can't break my rule, you know I download the trailer teaser and etc and save them for long time until movie release then first I watch entire of it in cinema or purchase its bluray and after that I see those saved spoilers! A little bit odd but I forgive myself. Sorry for bad writing dude

I'm bummed that's its a prequel. I was hoping to find out what happens after the door is rebuilt and Sully enters and sees Boo.

Mr.Alex I don't see trailers for spoiler ever but I Wana say some subjects anyway that I said before to: 1-I like pixar become two part, one part for sequels one part for originals 2- 1movie every year is low for pixar, they must expand their works, I don't have idea how but I think at least after 6month one release is essential 3- Monster Inc was Great , Fun , Exotic , Memorable but I think in pixar works action is a little low, they focus more on story & chemistry between characters, but best part of their work is when they had balance between action & story, toy story 1 had great action(specially in last sequences) , Incredibles had totally incredible actions too. Cars1&2 had great action but had repetitive story.Wall-E had Totally Perfect but Ratatouille , Up , Monster Inc had more dialogues than action, I'm not some mindless actiongoer but if this sequel had this balance too I think it is very well for that. Ice Age anims had this balance, Madagascare , kung fu panda either ( even how train your dragon & cloudy with chance of meatball)and they succeed like Pixar's works but we all know technically had lower Quality that Pixar has. For kids action is diamond , action thrill their emotions, Tom & Jery , Road Runner ... Aren't anything exeption of some hilarious actions? but for adults like us both action & goodstorytelling is very important in same time. I Wana see pixar get better & better and wish best for all of their marvelous guys. Pixar keep alive true innocent magical soul of cinema and What a Fantastic Company

just so you know pixar has always put out one movie a year and i am 100 percent fine with that. um just so you know The incredibles was mainly action intertwined with great storytelling and character development.

Agreed, trying to follow that perfect ending would have ruined it. But as this is a prequel, and as far as continuity is concerned (read: their eventual employment with Monsters, Inc.), I think it'd be neat to see a Doc Brown-esqe professor working on harnessing laughter who is later thrown out and considered a loon:P Be a really neat in-joke.

I didn't see a prequel coming for this franchise, but I was never against it. I decided to wait for plot details and trailers, and it looks like it won't disappoint. Seems fun how they will incorporate the fun that made the original a true classic into the college atmosphere! They could've gone with the obvious and continue the Boo storyline but they made an amazing choice of coming up with something original, and I respect and love that. Pixar (apart from the Cars franchise) has never disappointed me before and I seriously can't wait for next year's movie releases!
