Watch: First Trailer for French Sci-Fi Horror 'Dead Shadows' Arrives
"In the past, comets were perceived as a bad omen…" But now? Not to be confused with Dark Shadows, which just came out this weekend, David Cholewa's Dead Shadows is an upcoming French sci-fi horror film that we have actually written about before. Remember that impressive promo poster with the tentacles and baseball bat? These are the same film. This is about a comet passing close by Earth that seems to affect everyone and everything in Paris, turning people into wacky alien creatures, and much more. AICN found the first trailer from their Vimeo. I'm quite curious to check this out. "I hope you're not afraid of the dark."
Watch the first uncensored trailer for David Cholewa's Dead Shadows, via their official Vimeo:
Dead Shadows is directed by first-time filmmaker David Cholewa, from a script by Vincent Julé, starring Fabian Wolfrom as the lead character Chris, plus John Fallon and Rurik Sallé. "Dead Shadows tells the terrifying story about a young man, Chris, whose parents were brutally killed 11 years ago - the same day that Hayley's Comet could be seen from earth." Now years later there's a new comet coming and everyone is throwing a party, but as night falls, Chris notices people begin to act stranger and stranger. The film was shot in Paris last year and is premiering in the Cannes Film Festival marketplace coming up this month. It doesn't have a distributor yet, so expect this to play at many film festivals first. I want to see it! Thoughts?
Hmm... It does look 'okay-ish' but most of that CGI looked out of place...

Your Justin Bieber attitude ends here, WTF. The sort of film I'd expect from David Cronenberg, weird & surreal. Looks alright.

Horror is exeptional genre in cinema Holleywood make 10 horror movie every year average! But for us that see 1 movie in everyday this is very low! What about those another 355days! Then I love every country make horror movies: Korea is great/Spain is excellent/England is ok/France is very good I love mutants/la horde from France I think this movie may be was weak but I admire France and his horror genre because I'm horror hungry and I Wana they serve me delicious horror meal

This looks like nothing more than a SyFy Channel direct-to-cable flick ... except with frenchmen, nudity and more gore.

Possible Oscar contender with nods towards original screenplay and best actress. Oh, and I'm Brad Pitt.

Did I just see an alien penis?

A teenage boy throws it in a bitch with a wiggling alien tail? Sounds familiar... Oh because I've read Black Hole by Charles Burns, whose high contrast cartoons somehow have more depth than these characters seem to.
