Wreck-It Ralph Trailer

"Ralph - you are bad guy, but this does not mean you are bad guy." Disney has unveiled the first official trailer via MSN for animated movie Wreck-It Ralph, featuring the voice of John C. Reilly as Wreck-It Ralph, the bad guy of video game Fix-It Felix Jr. This wonderful trailer features a great opener and intro to Ralph and the entire world this is set in, and gives you a little taste of the story. There are tons of great video game characters hidden within, like Bowser and Zangief and Q-Bert and many more. This honestly looks like a great animated classic in the making, enjoy your very first look at it. "Ralph - you're game jumping?"

Watch the first official trailer for Disney Animation's Wreck-It Ralph, originally from MSN:

The bad-guy character Ralph, in the classic game Fix-It Felix Jr., who longs to be a hero brings trouble to his entire arcade after sneaking into a new first-person shooter game and unleashing a deadly enemy.

Rich Moore (who has helmed episodes of "Futurama" and "The Simpsons") is directing Wreck-It Ralph, the story of an 8-bit video game character struggling with his own villainous identity with the world of arcade games. John C. Reilly voices the titular character who tries to be a hero, but ends up unleashing a deadly enemy who just might destroy every game in the arcade. Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch and Sarah Silverman all lend their voices to the film which is slated to hit theaters on November 2nd in 3D. Looking good?

This actually looks pretty cool. Can't believe Disney still remembers how to do movies like this...

If we actually get to see Mario or Sonic or any other character in this movie, I'm gonna freak out!:D

HarryFiddleSticks on Jun 6, 2012

5

There's a poster of Sonic that Ralph walks by, but neither are in the film.

Adrian Willing on Jun 6, 2012

6

In fact, Sonic IS in the movie; he's seen giving a crucial public service announcement (that if you get killed outside your game, you do NOT respawn. Game over, quite literally).

Archibald Mirenopteryx on Aug 5, 2012

They're in the film for all of five minutes.

This looks kind of really bad, I have a feeling Brave is going to be the animated movie of the year

Everyone else seems to think it looks great, me included. I have a feeling I would have liked it better if it hadn't used that music, and it hadn't included another "you're copying what I say" act.

Well that's going out on a limb, hey everybody PIXAR is gonna make the best animated movie this year...

Kamish on Jun 6, 2012

13

Not really, seeing as how last year they made one of the worst animated films of the year

HazedMind on Jun 6, 2012

14

Not a sequel or prequel Heck yeah! looks good

surprised they are using actual video game characters. Guess its the closest I can get to that Mario/Pixar movie I dream about.

16

Was surprised by this too! It's great!

Ryderup on Jun 6, 2012

REAL video game characters are not prominent in the film, but scattered throughout.  Decent flick as opposed to most of what is out.

Adrian Willing on Jun 6, 2012

You've seen it? If so, I'm supremely jealous.

An early screening.  Not fully polished, but yes.  🙂

This movie is going to be awesome!! Move over Pixar Disney is back!!

ok not be be a negitive nanny here, but one decent trailer for this movie, and one only, is not the sudden rebirth of disney to there super star past here. It looks great, and its going to be fun, but pixar has had a MUCH better run for there animated movies the last Decade. I'm a geek for any Decent animated movie, be it hand drawn or computer-gen like this, Disney is making a comeback and it will be fun, but i think they are still off the mark to de-thron pixar.

When I heard about this movie I thought it was gonna be terrible. But seeing the trailer I'm really excited to see this! Nice goin' Disney

Did Disney sneak into Pixar and steal their tech? Ho Ho, just kidding, Disney never steal stuff, they are the greatest. I like John C Reilly, so will probably watch it. That music was shit.

Crapola on Jun 6, 2012

29

Eh, it's just pop music used to get the kids who don't know shit about classic games interested in seeing the movie. Not a big deal, probably not indicative of the movie's real soundtrack or anything.

Aj Meadows on Jun 6, 2012

30

I can verify they use pop music in the film, especially "Shut Up and Drive" by Rihanna.

Adrian Willing on Jun 6, 2012

31

Now that's a song. Awesome.

Crapola on Jun 6, 2012

32

Dear god, please no!

Aj Meadows on Jun 6, 2012

33

Regardless, it's terrible. I know children are stupid, but still. I blame David Guetta a little.

Crapola on Jun 6, 2012

34

Should've stuck with the Talking Heads.

grimjob on Jun 6, 2012

35

Yeah, the Talking Heads song was a fantastic choice!

36

This looks great!

Nielsen700 on Jun 6, 2012

37

Dunno if you realize this, but Pixar is actually owned by Disney and consult with Disney Animation on a regular basis... so yeah, they kind of overlap quite a bit.

Phillip Gockel on Jun 6, 2012

Saw an early screening for this film and it was decent.  Some good concepts and ideas, but linear in nature.  John C. Reilly was awesome, as are the cameos 🙂

Adrian Willing on Jun 6, 2012

When are films not linear?

Remind me our student movie made in 2007 and Jury Awarded at Siggraph 2008. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ch1dZiKzLHM Very bizarre...

I find this very similar to this short movie done in 2007 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biX5iSBaCKo this is disapointing. What do you think ?

Fredericfourier on Jun 7, 2012

48

Probably. Not surprised they stole the concept and basic story of this somewhere, though.

Terry Craig on Jun 7, 2012

49

I'm not totally in love with this, but it still looks cute.

It's a cool idea to go back to the 8, 16, and 32bit heroes of most 30 somethings youths, and still make it something the kids today might enjoy too. While Pixar may be the big all-star on the field in recent years, it's nice to see Disney can still score a goal now and then.

Thexn on Jun 14, 2012

Now THIS is going to be fun to watch. John C. Reilly is one of my favorite underestimated actors.
