Watch: Full-Length Trailer for HBO's Political Drama 'Game Change'
by Ethan Anderton
January 31, 2012
We already got a taste of HBO's political drama Game Change last year, but now the cable network has delivered the full length trailer for the film from Recount director Jay Roach starring Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin and Ed Harris as Senator John McCain. While the movie seems to mostly criticize the Republican side of the election (since that's the focus of the book of the same name), there's a pretty good moment in there for anyone on the other side of the aisle, as actor Woody Harrelson as campaign operative Steve Schmidt has some choice words to describe then-opposing candidate Barack Obama. Watch!
Here's the official trailer for Jay Roach's HBO Film Game Change, embedded from YouTube:
Game Change is based on the book of the same name by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin which was adapted by Danny Strong and directed by Jay Roach, the same duo behind HBO's film Recount about the 2000 election between Al Gore and George W. Bush. The film follows Senator John McCain's (Ed Harris) campaign for the presidency in 2008 as he brings aboard a female vice presidential candidate in the form of Sarah Palin (Julianne Moore). Woody Harrelson also stars as McCain's campaign manager along with Sarah Paulson, Ron Livingston and more. HBO will debut the film on their network on Saturday March 10th.

That seems unlikely, since Julian Moore doesn't live in a fantasy land where you can liquidate the federal reserve and prevent all women from having abortions.

I don't want this to turn into a political debate, but he wants to audit the Federal Reserve and let the states decide how to handle abortion.

I wonder if they beat Julianne Moore in the head to make her act as dumb as Palin? I guess we'll never know.

So confused... Is this a liberal Hollywood stab at the right? Or is it the conservative right lining Hollywood's pockets? So confused...

Hopefully it's neither.

This is a story I do not care to hear about. I wouldn't watch this if it was a documentary either. Politicians are all scumbags. Sarah Palin isn't even worth discussing.

I have no problem with flagrantly partisan films, so yes, I am going to watch this and most likely enjoy it immensely.
