While our focus is on movies here, we often partake in other areas of pop culture including music, TV shows and video games. We just recently featured a great Halo 4 commercial produced by David Fincher, and now we have another great commercial for another highly anticipated game. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 arrives on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on November 13th, and Guy Ritchie has directed this awesome new commercial for the game. In addition, he brings his Sherlock Holmes star Robert Downey Jr. along for a Tony Stark worthy cameo and Omar Sy from the international hit The Intouchables. Watch it below!
Here's the Guy Ritchie directed commercial for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 via MTV:
Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops II propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare between old and new foes. In this conflict, the mechanized creations of men reign supreme, facing off against each other as their creators stay safe and unconflicted, and in the process grow ever softer. In this scenario an important question will be asked: What happens when enemy steals the keys? To understand such a future, you must understand your past. Cool?

There's a game variant (not in the campaign) that allows you to fight off zombie hordes. It's fun as hell.

Nacht der Untoten is still the most fun because it requires patience and communication. The rest is just more amped-up action for the tweens.

And as always, "have a nice day" 🙂

Wish they put that kind of effort into the actual game

they did. anyone who can't see how much content is being put into the game isn't paying attention. it's like 2 games in 1..... this is the first CoD game i'm paying full price for; the first i've preordered; and only the 3rd i'm buying (bought WaW and BO for zombies).

Quality over quantity dude, I dont care if they have an MMOs worth of content when it is the same rehashed shit from COD 4.

since COD 4***

i didn't think i had to bring up the quality - if you've been following the game for a while you'd see the good job treyarch has done. if they can deliver on the first strike missions and the zombies modes it'll be worth it....and that is NOT "the same rehashed shit from CoD4".....sounds like you're a hater for the sake of hating.

I will admit zombies looks pretty cool, but that doesnt warrant my $60. They have been using the exact same game engine since COD 4 dude, theyve pumped out a COD game every year that adds new weapons skins and have ruined the MP with all the autowin killstreaks. The storys are pretty cool, but 5 hours of gameplay doesnt warrant 60 bucks either. When it comes to MP its been the same game with new weapons(actually just new skins over the same statted guns) and stupid useless gimmicky toys. But to each his own dude I have a lot to say about COD and its developers/publishers and this is a movie site. COD is meant for social gaming I guess, buncha drinkin buddies gathering around killing people but when it comes to gaming innovation and breaking ground, COD hasnt done that in 5 years. When it comes to modern warfare FPS Ill stick to my BF3. Also shit us gamers are spoiled, AC3, Far cry 3, dishonored, Hitman, and bioshock 3 early next year if we dont like one thing theres another AAA title that we can choose from.

i disagree with everything you said.....just don't buy it.

I agree with everything CodyW said and more. Same engine for years, pay for maps, pay for content, no map editior, no editor tools, no server support.. on and on I could go on. But beevis, u r right, we dont have to buy it

and, since i disagree with everything cody said - it applies to you as well....so have fun sitting on the sidelines - i'll be having fun kicking some zombie butt!

Lol sidelines? AC3 comes out tmrw buddy and then hitman shortly after, so Ill be playing a game that actually breaks some ground. Have fun paying another $60 for maps for the next year. But O wait you probably already pay an extra $100 to be an eliteslave...-.-

no i've never paid full price for any of it. WaW i paid 10 dollars for off of amazon - BO i paid 24 dollars - so the maps didn't even take it to full price. i did end up getting started on each game very late but i was ok with that. i am getting BO2 full price (standard edition - i won't pay extra for that "special" crap) because i love zombies - another reason is lamia is saying if zombies continue to get big support, then they'll make a stand-alone game for zombies....would be awesome!....and no - i've never gotten into the elite stuff...waste of time. as far as AC3 -it looks good and i'm getting it -but not until i can get it for 30 dollars or less. not getting hitman either. i can't believe you talked previously about "rehash" and then admit your buying that.....hitman isn't doing anything different.

I wonder how much Downey got paid to make that cameo being he was only in it for about 4 seconds....?

I doubt very much, if anything. Guy was probably all like "bro come do this shit" and RDJ was all "be right there"

Isn't that Zach Steel at the end? I think it is. He's hilarious in the webisodes "Clark Kent Has A Dream"
