The First Time Trailer

"I've never met anyone like you before." Samuel Goldwyn Films has unveiled the first official trailer for Jon Kasdan's The First Time, a very charming, amusing, endearing, entertaining coming-of-age indie comedy about two teens falling in love, and having sex, for their first time. It stars Dylan O'Brien ("Teen Wolf") as the guy, Britt Robertson (Scream 4, "Life Unexpected") as the girl, plus supporting cast including Craig Roberts (Submarine), Maggie Elizabeth Jones (We Bought a Zoo), Christine Taylor, even Victoria Justice. I first caught this as Sundance and it's damn good, but not everyone will be into it. Give it a shot!

Watch the first official trailer for Jon Kasdan's indie The First Time, originally from Yahoo:

Dave (Dylan O'Brien), a high school senior, spends most of his time pining away over a girl he can't have. Aubrey (Britt Robertson), a junior with artistic aspirations, has a boyfriend who doesn't quite understand her or seem to care. While they go to different schools, Dave & Aubrey find themselves at the same party.

The First Time is written and directed by indie filmmaker Jon Kasdan, of the quirky dramedy In the Land of Women previously. This first premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and was picked up by Samuel Goldwyn Films for US distribution. They're releasing The First Time in limited theaters starting October 19th this fall. I saw this at Sundance and liked it quite a bit - recommended for fans of coming-of-age films.

from the trailer, i didn't see this as a "coming of age" movie - it hit me as a teen soap opera.........not my type of movie - pass.
