Lizard and Spidey Face-Off in a New 'Amazing Spider-Man' TV Spot

In just about three weeks, Marc Webb is sending his new take on everyone's favorite wallcrawler to theaters in the form of The Amazing Spider-Man with Andrew Garfield as the webslinger himself. The trailers for the film have been nothing short of impressive, and now the TV onslaught is in full swing (no pun intended). A new TV spot has emerged giving Dr. Kurt Connors and his dark reptilian alter ego plenty of screen time, especially when it comes to fighting with Spider-Man across New York City and through Peter Parker's high school. It looks like Rhys Ifans is having a blast, and I hope the movie packs a punch too.
Here's the new TV spot for Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man, found via ComingSoon:
Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds a clue that might help him understand why his parents disappeared when he was young. His path puts him on a collision course with Dr. Connors, his father's former partner.
Sony's The Amazing Spider-Man features Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben, Sally Field as Aunt May and Denis Leary as George Stacy. 500 Days of Summer director Marc Webb is at the helm of this Spider-Man reboot, from a screenplay written by Alvin Sargent (Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 & 3), Steve Kloves (Harry Potter movies) and James Vanderbilt (The Rundown, Zodiac, The Losers). Sony/Columbia is bringing The Amazing Spider-Man to theaters in 3D on July 3rd this summer.

That's what everyone was saying about capt's helmet in the avengers before it came out...and personally, i thought it looked great in the movie but thought it looked cheesy in the trailers. We're only seeing tidbits of the Lizard, face paced in the trailers, I bet he'll look good on screen.

The lizard is looking much more finished, but still, there was so much motion blur that it is impossible to see HOW GOOD he looks. The other side of this is how the lizard moves and fights. That is going to influence how much we like "his look" as we watch the film. If he moves like a lizard human (whatever than means:) then I suppose most people will like his look. But if he just moves like a human than I think he will be hated. That is my 2 cents.

Me neither. I'm fed up of trailers/posters/tv spots of Bats and Spidey. Bring the movies already.

Why does The Lizard look like a Mario goomba?? Why didn't they just make him look like he does in the comics?? I seriously hate Hollywood sometimes. http://www.themarysue.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Spider-Man-4-The-Lizard-580x391.jpg Their version: F A I L http://files.g4tv.com/ImageDb3/288852_S/the-amazing-spider-man-first-full-picture-of-the-lizard.jpg

I'm still really looking forward to this movie, but I feel like they are a little too generous with their money shots. I think it would have been wiser to wait with the lizard's reveal (and bits of the fight with Spidey) until the movie released. Oh well, what do I know.

Dubstep in any trailer is just confirmation of a shit movie. I'll just pirate it.
