Rust and Bone

When our own Alex Billington hit the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, he discovered the Rust & Bone from Un Prophete director Jacques Audiard, starring Marion Cotillard (Inception, The Dark Knight Rises) and Matthias Schoenaerts (most recently seen in the Oscar nominated film Bullhead). Now we get a taste of the "raw, emotional" film he was talking about as the first lovely UK trailer for the film has arrived. Complete with phenomenal use of M83's track My Tears Are Becoming a Sea, there's some beautiful imagery for a film that looks like a promising French drama and I can't wait to see it. Don't miss!

Here's the first UK trailer for Jacques Audiard's Rust & Bone originally from MSN UK (via The Playlist):

Ali (Matthias Schoenaerts) suddenly finds himself with a five-year-old child on his hands. Sam is his son, but he hardly knows him. Homeless, penniless and friendless, Ali takes refuge with his sister in Antibes where things improve immediately. She puts them up in her garage and takes the child under her wing. Ali first runs into Stephanie (Martion Cotillard) during a night club brawl. He is poor, she is beautiful and self-assured and trains killer whales at Marineland. When a performance ends in tragedy, a call in the night again brings them together. Jacques Audiard directs Rust & Bone hitting limited theaters November 16th.

I love the look of it apart from the whales. Whales suck balls.

M83 just makes everything even better..

I wonder if M83 knew half of their album would be used for movie trailers when recording it. No complaints here.

I saw some photos of Marion Cotillard that I think were from this movie (which looks great) and she was at the beach and she was all topless and for that reason I'm definitely going to this movie instead of prolly going to this movie.
