"It's the first time the audience will see their President fighting…" If you haven't seen enough of Timur Bekmambetov's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter this week, we've got even more. Fox has revealed new featurettes by sending out vintage Abe Lincoln journals which contain silver bullet USB drives with this. The video is titled "Secret Life" and focuses on Lincoln's, played by Benjamin Walker, secret life as an axe-slinging vampire hunter; it also features Tim Burton. This goes with the new trailer debuted this week, and despite the apprehension I'm hearing, I think it looks badass so far. But lots of slow-mo it seems.
Here's the new "Secret Life" featurette for Timur Bekmambetov Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter:
Abraham Lincoln & F. W. Murnau's Nosferatu.Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is directed by Russian filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov, director of the Night/Day Watch series, Irony of Fate 2, and Wanted previously. An adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's mash-up novel of the same name, it was adapted by writers Seth Grahame-Smith & Simon Kinberg (of xXx: State of the Union, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, X-Men: The Last Stand, Jumper, This Means War). 20th Century Fox is bringing Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter to theaters in 3D starting June 22, 2012 this summer.

First! Holy crap this looks BADASS! The president is using that axe like BLADE uses his sword! Oh and I loved WANTED so I'm totally seeing this midnight showing. Bought the book too!

You are so right CrAzy Olyphant ! I haven't bothered with a midnight showing since the LOTR's movies but I will be going to this. If people are scratching their heads over this one, wait until the following summer when the adapation of Seth Grahame-Smith' s Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is released. Grahame-Smith is so ballsy that he even credits Jane Austein as the co-writer; ya' gotta love his warped imagination. No doubt Tarantino is a huge fan of Grahame-Smith's novels; they are right up his alley.

Thanks Hattori; the enthuisastic comments that you've been making here on Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter since it was announced last year won me over. I downloaded the book after reading your comments yesterday and read it in one sitting all last night. I can see why you are such a big fan of it, so much fun! Bring on the movie!

Well Randy, outside of Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers and The Hobbit I don't see much out there this year to get excited over but after reading the book and seeing the first perview; Abe Lincoln now has me thinking it will deliver somethiing fun and different. I am so tired of all these The Artist-King's Speech-Black Swan type of movies that make a critic wet their pants; time to shake up the cinemas a little!
