Django Unchained UK Trailer

"Touch your guns you die." Another brand new UK-edition of the first trailer for Quentin Tarantino's spaghetti western Django Unchained has arrived from Yahoo UK this morning. Jamie Foxx stars as freed slave Django, who becomes a bounty hunter under the training of Dr. Schultz, played by Christoph Waltz. We just featured the first official US trailer for this last week, and while these both use a lot of the same footage, there's plenty new shots in this one, plenty to enjoy. This looks like such a damn good time! Leonardo DiCaprio also stars, along with Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson, too. Fire it up.

Watch the first UK Trailer for Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained, found on Yahoo UK via Vlicious:

Django Unchained is written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, who last brought us Inglourious Basterds. In the film, the Django (Jamie Foxx) is a freed slave, who under the tutelage of a German bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) becomes a bounty hunter himself, and together they track down his slave wife (Kerry Washington) and liberate her from the evil plantation owner (Leonardo DiCaprio). The cast includes Samuel Jackson, Dennis Christopher, Walton Goggins, M.C. Gainey, Don Johnson, Anthony LaPaglia, RZA, James Russo, James Remar, Todd Allen and Franco Nero. Shooting is just wrapping and The Weinstein Company currently has the film scheduled for release starting December 25th, Christmas Day, the end of this year.

i'll watch for dicaprio, waltz - JF has never impressed me and and his lifeless reading of lines in this doesn't change that.

Respectfully Beevis.... "Ray" and his turn as Bundini in "Ali" are both  exercises in craftsmanship. That being said.... he hasn't floored me since.

The reason why I will watch anything Tarantino directs is because it's obvious he LOVES movies - popcorn, action, exploitation movies.  He's less a director and more like a kid who gets millions of dollars to make movies he would want to see.  What a lucky dude!

I have a better feeling about Django Unchained after this trailer. I was definitely planning to see it after the U.S. trailer; but this U.K. version gives me a stronger feeling of what to expect, from the interactions between characters. I agree that Jamie Foxx' readings seem to be lacking something; but I'm hoping there's more there than we can see in a two minute trailer.

Quentin is on a strange but fun ride of revenge films. Last time, Nazi's getting slaughtered...This time, slave owners. Love it.

Is it me or do they end all trailers nowadays with what is probably the worst line/scene in the movie? "Django. The D is Silent."

I think it's going to be a recurring double entendre throughout the whole movie. It fits the whole spaghetti western thing.

I am so sick of potentially good movies, ruined by stupid actors who insist on using soul-less one-liners. "I like the way you die boy". pfft. and "Django. The D is Silent".
