No limits. No fear. That's the motto of this next Slamdance Film Festival, the 19th iteration happening in Park City alongside of Sundance. Slamdance is the sister spin-off fest happening during the same time in the same place, and they recently unveiled the 2013 line-up which includes some unique picks like Brea Grant's directorial debut Best Friends Forever, Steven Feinartz's doc The Bitter Buddha, and a found footage spoof called Ghost Team One. Indiewire has posted an animated intro promo for Slamdance 2013 and it's a rather awesome video worth sharing. Plus it's a great way to give Slamdance and their line-up a shout out.
The artwork and this video for Slamdance 2013 was created by Bill Sneed of Yankee Peddler. They have previously featured the unveiling of Bill's "Rocket to Unchartered Territory" key art (seen as the teaser image above) which plays prominently in the animated video. If you're attending the festival in January, or any of the screenings, you'll likely see this opening play in front of every showing there. But I am impressed, this packs in a lot of flashy fun for 30 seconds. More information on the Slamdance Film Festival can be found on their website at Slamdance.com, including the complete 2013 feature line-up here. Anyone going?
