Watch: Red Band Trailer for Patton Oswalt's 'Nature Calls' Comedy
"Children don't live in the woods - they die!" Magnet Releasing recently debuted a rather unnecessarily red band trailer for wacky indie comedy Nature Calls, directed by Todd Rohal and starring Patton Oswalt, Rob Riggle, Johnny Knoxville, Patrice O'Neal, Maura Tierney and Darrell Hammond. In the vein of camp comedies like Meatbealls, the film is about two brothers, Randy (Oswalt) and Kirk (Knoxville), who decide to hijack a Boy Scout trip that takes a turn for the worst. There's all kinds of weird shenanigans in this and I'm really not sure what to make of it. But if making fun of Boy Scouts is your thing, then have fun.
Here's the first red band trailer for Todd Rohal's Nature Calls, originally from Yahoo:
Polar-opposite brothers Randy (Oswalt) and Kirk (Knoxville) never saw eye-to-eye, but their rivalry goes to a new level when Randy hijacks Kirk's son's sleepover, taking the boys on a Scout Trip to remember.
Nature Calls is both written and directed by American filmmaker Todd Rohal, of the wacky comedy hit Catechism Cataclysm as well as The Guatemalan Handshake previously. I'm not exactly sure where this came from, but Magnet Releasing is putting it out in the next few months. Nature Calls will be available on VOD starting October 4th, with a theatrical release to follow November 9th, for anyone who's interested.

Shmeh. Shitty trailer with too many "fucks" and pointless swearing, but i think it'll be funny. oswalt is hilaroius, o'neal is hilarious, and rob riggle is a comic genius

And I thought that was Clive Owen and not Rob Riggle. Wow, please tell me this is going straight to DVD.

My scout troop were a lot worse, sadly a lot of em skipped the beer and went straight to heroin. This looks like one of those weird movies Seann William Scott made that went straight to streaming sites, I doubt they even came out on dvd, weren't worth the burning of the disc. Suppose actors gotto eat.

i don't think it'll be a good movie - but i'll sure see it for some laughs....and there were some good ones in there.

And the 80s are back once more. Thank you Moonrise (or not). Looks silly, but I like Patton Oswalt. He was great in Young Adult!

I saw this film several months ago on XBMC/Navi-X. I actually enjoyed it. It is a very simple plot. I liked all the actors/comedians in it which was a plus. The dynamics of the family/personalities was pretty deep and complex. Big brother-little brother rivalry into mid thirties, dying boyscout troop b/c of xbox lifestyle, dying father that started the troop. Plus it wasn't one of those movies where everything was expected.
