Watch: A Second Fun Trailer for 80's Jukebox Musical 'Rock of Ages'
Towards the end of last year, we only got a taste of what it would be like to have our faces melted off by the musical debut of Tom Cruise as 80's rock star Stacee Jaxx in the big screen adaptation of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages. Now we finally have a preview of the surprisingly fantastic pipes that Cruise has on him as he belts Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi. There's also great musical glimpses of lead Julianne Hough, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand and plenty more. This looks like it could be a really fun time at the movies with a slew of songs everyone can sing along with. Watch it below!
Here's the new trailer for Adam Shankman's musical Rock of Ages originally via Apple:
Tells the story of small town girl Sherrie and city boy Drew, who meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams. Their rock 'n' roll romance is told through the heart-pounding hits of Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, REO Speedwagon, Twisted Sister, Poison, Whitesnake and more.
Rock of Ages is directed by Adam Shankman, of The Wedding Planner, Bringing Down the House, The Pacifier, Hairspray and Bedtime Stories previously. The screenplay has credits by Justin Theroux (Tropic Thunder, Iron Man 2), Chris D'Arienzo (Barry Munday) and Allan Loeb (Things We Lost in the Fire, 21, The Switch, The Dilemma) and is based on the musical by Chris D'Arienzo that first hit Broadway in 2009. New Line Cinema/Warner Bros are bringing Rock of Ages to theaters on June 15th this summer. Anyone?
Tom Cruise Is taking his throne back!

and I'm glad. Very few people in hollywood work as hard as Cruise, no doubt.

I don't give a fuck about the 80's.
M.K. Nielsen on Apr 2, 2012
Looks solid. Cruise looks good. Baldwin sounds like all he has are one liners.
Coltman15 on Apr 2, 2012
this looks solid as others said and I can not wait for this to be released!

I'll see just because music since the late 90's has been garbage.

This may look corny... but I'll end up singing every 80s rock anthem featured in this movie, and not be ashamed about it!

Tom sounds flat. Not good.

Not in. At all.

I've woken up screaming from nightmares that I'm locked in a theatre with this playing 24/7.

Thought means life, since those who do not think so do not live in any high or real sense. Thinking makes the man.

Glee. What have you done to us?
Crapola on Apr 3, 2012
so, if i have this trailer right, in order to get *respect*, the lead actress' character has to become a *stripper*? hmm. but i *was* transfixed by the size of Paul Giamatti's enormo-stache.

I saw this in a stage production... I wasn't sure going in, but it was AMAZING! If they do a good adaption of it, it will be AMAZING! However, I am upset they cut out the not-really-gay German kid.
GregDinskisk on Apr 3, 2012
Tom Cruise has a problem with Germans. I think it's to do with the cult he is in.
Crapola on Apr 4, 2012
Tom looks like Axl Rose off stage but onstage he is Glenn Danzig, lol.

This could be one of the best movies I'v seen in a long tine. All the cast did a wonderfull job and the songs where just one track. The mixing and matching was just great. The colour, sound, editing all top class. I hope people will give this movie a chance, not because Tom Cruise is in it. It is like stepping back in time, the old days of musicals just brought uo to date. So if you want to go have two hours of fun. GO see this film.
