"I didn't know a trachea could break!" Lionsgate has debuted a brand new 60-second TV trailer for Boaz Yakin's Safe, the upcoming action movie starring Jason Statham, and it looks quite awesome. We've seen one trailer for this film so far, which stars Statham as a former elite agent New York City cop who personally rescues a young Chinese girl abducted by the Triads and must protect her in the city. I will say this one of the first action movies I am genuinely excited to see since seeing The Raid, and it just looks badass and fun as hell, only in the way Statham could deliver (even though he does this every few months). Check this out!
Watch the newest 60 second TV trailer for Boaz Yakin's Safe, online via Machinima:
A former elite agent takes on a two-tier mission: rescue a Chinese girl who's been abducted by the Triads, then use a safe combination to outwit the Russian Mafia, corrupt NYC officials, and the Triads themselves.
Safe is written and directed by Boaz Yakin, a New York-born filmmaker who was set to direct the doomed "Batman Beyond" project that became Batman Begins, eventually directing Fresh, A Price Above Rubies, Remember the Titans, Uptown Girls and Death in Love most recently. Lionsgate originally had this set for release last fall, but has delayed it until April 27th this spring. Looks so awesome. Watch the full trailer.

honestly alex.......maybe if he DIDN'T do this every few months, it might seem more interesting - all of these movies he makes kind of run together for me.

Statham cane be a great actor and he's shown it before, yet he just keeps picking these action roles...and its getting old.

Have cash; will punch is his mantra.

he may be a good actor. however, he needs to do something different than 90 minutes of shooting/beating people. and you're right - it IS getting very old.

his last six movies are the one long action reel where he beats everyone up and survives at the end. Pass.

I always dig how Statham always does his natural accent regardless if he is supposed to be American or anything else.

You never pay to see a Statham movie surely? I think they give them away free with newspapers.

Cannot wait, I love his movies but I don't go to the theater anymore, so damn expensive and too often trailers are better than the movies themselves
