Lawless Red Band Trailer

"We're survivors. We control the fear. And without the fear, we are all as good as dead." TWC has debuted a fantastic new red band trailer for John Hillcoat's Lawless on VICE. While it does show a little too much, it seems like this is the trailer they've been waiting to show, required to have a red band tag. The trailer really captures the reality, brutality, and honest story you'll find in Lawless. Shia LaBeouf leads the cast, but Tom Hardy is the real star. They're joined by Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska & Guy Pearce. There's more nudity and violence in this than the previous trailers, and I love how it builds to an intensity.

Watch the new red band trailer for John Hillcoat's Lawless, originally debuted by VICE:

John Hillcoat (The Road, The Proposition) is directing Lawless from a screenplay by Nick Cave which is based on Matt Bondurant's novel The Wettest County in the World. The film follows a bootlegging gang (Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf and Jason Clarke) in Depression-era Franklin County, Virginia, threatened by authorities who want a cut of their profits. Jessica Chastain, Gary Oldman, Mia Wasikowska, Guy Pearce, Noah Taylor and up-and-comer Dane DeHaan (from Chronicle) also appear in this. The Weinstein Company first premiered the film at the Cannes Film Festival and is releasing Lawless on August 29th this month.

You're right, that did show a bit too much. KINDA regret watching it.

Thanks for the warning. I WILL NOT WATCH IT.

Jessica Chastain is one smoking hot lady.

Don't like it on Aug 21, 2012

Didn't think the trailer was particularly red-bandish worthy... Except for the nudity, I thought it was the regular trailer.
