Les Miserables Trailer

"Who was that girl?" Universal has finally debuted a full-length theatrical trailer to make a final push for the epic musical adaptation of Les Miserables, directed by Oscar winner Tom Hooper. This is the trailer I was waiting for, as it gives us a more straightforward look at the story, the characters, and the spirit of this musical. Everything about it looks wonderful. Hugh Jackman stars as Valjean, with Anne Hathaway as Fantine, Russell Crowe as Javert, and Isabelle Allen as the young Cosette, shown prominently in this. It's a new UK trailer, so stand by for updates, or the US version. But this one is definitely worth watching.

Watch the full UK international trailer for Tom Hooper's Les Miserables, found on YouTube:

Tom Hooper (The King's Speech) is directing Les Miserables, an adaptation of the successful stage musical based on Victor Hugo's classic novel set in 19th-century France, in which a paroled prisoner named Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman) seeks his redemption. Alain Boublil adapted his own work with Claude-Michel Schonberg, who also wrote the stage musical, Herbert Kretzmer and William Nicholson. The film also stars Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen and Eddie Redmayne and will hit theaters everywhere on December 25th, Christmas Day. Very excited to see this!

Anne Hathaway gives me chills when she sings in this and I've never really looked forward to a musical in my whole life. I really love the career choices Sacha Baron Cohen makes as well.

It's been getting taken down from Youtube left and right, as it is actually leaked. Thus the jank title. Hilarious nonetheless.

Yeah, Universal finally capitulated to the leak and released the UK trailer officially this morning, as an MSN exclusive: - it's in HD here, much better quality. The U.S. trailer should be hitting sometime next week.

Just a note, this is the UK trailer. There is still no oficially released second trailer for the US.

Russel Crowe... now I know why they didn`t show him singing earlier;P sadly but I think that he will be the weakest link in this movie...

Look soooo good. Glad to see the music was used this time around.

the lyrics of "do you hear the people sing" was changed?

Nicolas Dalli Bortolot on Nov 9, 2012

No, it's the same melody, but the trailer switches from "Do You Hear the People Sing" to the finale. "Will you join in our crusade, who will be strong and stand with me? Somewhere beyond the barricade is there a world you long to see?" etc.

Finally!! We get to hear Crowe sing - and while nothing to knock socks off, he sounds like he can indeed hold a tune well. Still annoyed as hell w the tremor of Seifreid's voice.
