Watch: Whimsical Trailer for Indie 'Crazy Eyes' Starring Lukas Haas
"I will die without Crazy Eyes!" Strand Releasing has debuted the official trailer for indie dramedy Crazy Eyes, starring Lukas Haas and Madeline Zima and Jake Busey. This quirky little dramatic comedy is set mostly in Los Angeles, following a "rich boy" who meets a girl unlike anyone he calls "Crazy Eyes" that he can't have, but of course there's all kinds of tension and drama and things going on. I'm a fan of Lukas Haas, you may recognize him from Brick or Alpha Dog or Death in Love or Inception or Contraband, and I like seeing him in good lead roles where he really fits the role. This looks intriguing, I'm curious to check it out.
Watch the official trailer for Adam Sherman's Crazy Eyes, in high def from Apple:
With too much money and time on his hands, Zach (Haas) looks like he's living the dream. There's a steady stream of beautiful women and the party never ends. He meets a girl he calls "Crazy Eyes" (Zima), and she's unlike anyone he's ever met before. She's the one woman he can't have, so naturally he wants her.
Crazy Eyes is directed by American filmmaker Adam Sherman, of the 2010 film Happiness Runs previously. The screenplay was co-written by Adam Sherman, Dave Reeves and Rachel Hardisty. This premiered at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin earlier this year. Strand Releasing will be bringing Crazy Eyes to limited theaters starting on July 6th this summer. Looks depressing, but it has beer so it must be good.

Not to pick on this movie in particular, but why does every movie have to be about a guy pursing that special girl? Add to that rich playboy guy "livin' the dream" and I could just watch Californication instead. There are so many more stories than "guy pursues girl of his dreams." Enough already.

But Bebe, for most men this is the only pursuit they take seriously in their entire existence. I've watched my friends try and fail a thousand times, it's hilarious and actually as I said above, very depressing. The playboy seems like a lot of alcoholics, self-obsessed and selfish. Didn't you know how hard it is to get by when your parents pay for everything? It's so tough, it really is, ehe h.

I always thought Crazy Eyes was the name of the Guy from Mr. Deeds!
