Errors Of The Human Body Teaser Trailer

"You're unique, you see… but at the moment you're a bit of a danger to yourself." What the hell is going on in this? Twitch (via TheMovieBox) has unveiled a teaser trailer for an indie film called Errors of the Human Body, directed by Eron Sheean, some weird scientific, supernatural thriller set in the world of human genetics. Starring Tomas Lemarquis, Rik Mayall, Karoline Herfurth, with Michael Eklund (The Divide) as a tortured scientist working passionately on a regeneration gene. It starts out with almost a Chronicle-like tease, then gets very wacky midway through, but it certainly got my attention. Take a look.

Watch the first teaser trailer for Eron Sheean's Errors of the Human Body, embedded via Twitch:

Dr. Geoff Burton (played by Michael Eklund) takes up a position at a new research institute in wintery Dresden, Germany. His contribution to a former colleague's crucial project, a human regeneration gene, has the potential to make something miraculous out of a personal tragedy that has haunted him for years.

Errors of the Human Body is the feature directorial debut of Eron Sheean, who co-wrote The Divide, from a screenplay by Sheean and Shane Danielsen, former director of the Edinburgh Film Festival. The film was partially funded on Kickstarter in 2011, and produced by Instinctive Film and High5Films in Germany. No release date is set, but we'll be keeping an eye out for this on the indie circuit. For more, visit their website.

+ one on the score and while the ending was a cool twist this is one of those trailers that swings too far the other way. It gives too little away. I have no idea what this movie is about except it involves a lab, a party at one point, and some people in weird makeup. Wrapped around all that, this could be anything. Without actually showing someone the trailer, how would you convince them this is a good movie to see? What could you tell them about it from the trailer? Almost nothing. And if you show them the trailer they might have some impressions that suggest certain things but don't really substantiate any of those expectations. Until the end it looked like it might be a bit like Pusher, and it could also be a bit like Limitless. It could also be that half of what we saw will just end up being visions in some guy's head because he has something wrong with him.
