We're excited and proud to present with our friends at SlashFilm an exclusive free screening this week, on Thursday, May 3rd at USC in Los Angeles, of Sleepless Night, the badass, highly praised French action film starring Tomer Sisley. Both Peter from SlashFilm and I loved this film watching it at TIFF last year (watch our ecstatic review) and have wanted to personally share this awesome action flick with our readers, and this is our chance. Not only is it a free evening screening open to anyone, but we'll also be hosting a live Q&A with director Frédéric Jardin via Skype (as he is in France) afterwards. You won't want to miss this!
Courtesy of Tribeca Film and USC School of Cinematic Arts, we're hosting the screening at 8:15 PM on May 3rd at the USC's Ray Stark Family Theatre (George Lucas Building, USC School of Cinematic Arts, 900 W. 34th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90007). Seating is first come, first serve. To register, all you need to do is submit your name, if you have a guest or not, and basic contact info to: firstname.lastname@example.org. We should have plenty of seats, and the film has a 1:42 running time, so you will be out in time to make it to midnight screenings of The Avengers, if you already arranged plans that night. We hope you can make it.
Here's a glimpse at the official trailer again. It is definitely worth seeing this film up on the big screen, too:
I really, really loved Sleepless Night and was so incredibly happy to discover it at TIFF last year (thanks to Jordan of The Film Stage), if you couldn't tell in our video review. I've been anxiously awaiting its release and for a chance to show you guys how awesome it is, to give you the same in-theater experience with the film that I had at the film festival. Similar to that Indonesian action film The Raid, this will blow you away, it's intense from start to finish, and as an action film, it takes place almost entirely in and outside of one massive nightclub in Paris. There's corrupt cops, drug lords, fighting/action aplenty, and a father just trying to save his son. We hope to see plenty of you there later this week! If you have any questions, ask us below.
He took their drugs. They took his son. Again, if you're interested in attending this Thursday, all you need to do is submit your info to email@example.com to RSVP. A very big thank you to Tribeca Film.
I think this film is overhyped, i liked it, but if it was an american film no one would think anything of it

Sometimes - as in this time - I wish I lived in U.S. Once again, bravo Firstshowing!
