Amanda Seyfried

Since December of 2010, the project While We're Young with director Noah Baumbach and star Ben Stiller has been gestating with fluctuating cast members. Initially James Franco was going to be a part of the project, but he fell away, and Jesse Eisenberg was circulating six months later. Now it sounds like the whole cast is coming together for Baumbach to get this film off the ground. Stiller is still leading the film about a free-spirited Brooklynite twenty-something couple who inspires an uptight documentarian (Stiller) and his wife to loosen up, and now The Wrap reports Amanda Seyfried has joined the ensemble cast. Read on!

Seyfried is just coming off the Best Picture nominated Les Miserables, and will soon be heard in the animated film Epic this weekend, not to mention Seth MacFarlane's A Million Ways to Die in the West next year. Seyfried will play one half of the younger couple along with "Girls" star Adam Driver. And for those who weren't already aware, Naomi Watts is playing Stiller's wife. Baumbach has delivered some great indies like The Squid and the Whale, Margot at the Wedding and Greenberg (also with Stiller), so I'm excited to see what he does with a cast like this for his next project.

bah! Greenberg was a travesty! Aside from Greta Gerwig's performance, it was a wash as far as I'm concerned
