After lending his voice to The Croods (which is now getting a sequel) and this summer's Turbo (watch the trailer), it sounds like actor Ryan Reynolds is getting ready to hear voices this time. Just last fall, we learned the actor who dabbles in both action and comedy was taking the lead role in The Voices, a dark but somewhat comedic psychological thriller from Persepolis director Marjane Satrapi. The story involving murder and a talking dog and cat has just gained two female co-stars as Deadline reports Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect) and Gemma Arterton (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters) have joined the strange project.
Originally Ben Stiller was slated to star in the film (the script appeared on the Black List back in 2009) for director Mark Romanek, but now it sounds like this iteration will be the one that gets off the ground. The story follows Jerry Hickfang (Reynolds) as he accidentally kills a woman he works with and falls for at a bathroom fixtures factory, only to begin taking advice from his evil, foul-mouthed cat Mr. Whiskers and the more benevolent dog Bosco. The voices are clearly in his head as the title would imply, and it'll be interesting to see how a director like Satrapi handles material like this.
This was an awesome pitch black comedy. It is one big WTF and completely original. If they can get the whole dynamic right with the talking dog and cat, it will be brilliant. I am rooting for them to pull it off.

If you saw Ryan Reynolds movie "Just Friends" he had a scene where he was in bed w/his girl friend and began to think about all kind of things instead of having sex....It was hilarious, his thoughts out loud and his expression while he was thinking of them. I am sure he can pull this off. He is perfect !!!!! he is good on a stage by himself.
