Are Neeson & Harrelson the 'Highwaymen' Who Killed Bonnie & Clyde?

Here's an interesting development. While a new take on the story of Bonnie & Clyde has been developing since 2011, and Emile Hirsch is slated to star in a miniseries about the infamous couple for The History Channel and Lifetime, The Blind Side director John Lee Hancock has an interesting approach tot he story we haven't yet heard of. Deadline has word that Media Rights Capital and Universal Pictures have just made a deal to co-finance Highwaymen, a drama that will focus on the Texas Rangers that hunted down the bank robbing duo and eventually gunned them down in a blaze of glory. But who will play them? Read on!
Hancock currently has his sights on Liam Neeson and Woody Harrelson, and they're currently being courted for the film right now. Just the thought of Harrelson and Neeson playing 1930s era Texas Rangers is reason enough for me to see the movie, whether or not they're going after Bonnie & Clyde. John Fusco (Young Guns, Hidaldo and The Forbidden Kingdom) scripted the series which follows Frank Hamer as the lawman tasked with ending the robbing streak of Bonnie & Clyde. Hamer is one hell of a Ranger having survived 100 gunfights and killed 53 people. At the very least, it'll be interesting to see this familiar story from the other side of the law and see how it played out for the Rangers. Sound good?

That would be one badass team up, I can see the banter between those 2 already
