Following news last week that Jay Baruchel would reunite with Almost Famous director Cameron Crowe for his Untitled Hawaii Project already in production, another actor has joined the impressive cast. Bradley Cooper leads the film as a defense contractor who falls for an Air Force pilot (Emma Stone) after he's assigned to oversee the launch of a weapons satellite from Hawaii. But the lovers decide to sabotage the launch instead. Now The Wrap has learned that Oscar nominee Bill Murray is in talks to take a role in the film, marking the first time he'd work with Crowe, but details on his character are unknown at this time.
Scott Rudin is producing the film, which is probably how Murray got involved. Rudin produced The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Darjeeling Limited and Moonrise Kingdom, all Wes Anderson movies which featured Murray. The actor would join Rachel McAdams, Danny McBride and Alec Baldwin, making the movie a must-see. We'll see Murray in the likely awards contender The Monuments Men later this year, and we can't wait to see what he's doing in the new film from Crowe, which will hopefully mark a return to form for the filmmaker.
