'Bourne Legacy' Sequel Arrives in 2015 & Luc Besson's 'Lucy' in 2014

Adding yet another blockbuster to the 2015 release calendar, Universal Pictures has just announced that the currently untitled sequel to The Bourne Legacy will arrive on August 14th, 2015. That means a Bourne spin-off will arrive just a couple months before James Bond returns to the big screen later that same year. As we already learned, Fast & Furious 6 director Justin Lin will be at the helm of the sequel with Jeremy Renner back as Aaron Cross and Frank Marshall producing. We doubt the latter filmmaker will get his wish of bringing Matt Damon back as Jason Bourne, but we'll see. That's not the only release news.
Universal has also dated Luc Besson's action thriller Lucy starring Scarlett Johansson for August 8th, 2014. The actress who has been getting acclaim and at least one award for the voice only performance in Her gets back in action as the title woman who accidentally finds herself caught in a dark deal, but turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic. That could be a competitive weekend with the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The 100 Foot Journey and Into the Storm hitting theaters that same day, but they all have mostly different target audiences. Stay tuned.

Previous Was BOURNE without BOURNE , What could it be this one? Don't play with me , if Damon not in it , I'm OUT.

Legacy would have been more enjoyable, imo, had it not been a Bourne film...

I enjoyed The Bourne Legacy, but that was a very anti-climatic ending IMO. Hopefully this one steps it up and takes a more action-oriented approach (like Ultimatum, my favourite of the series so far). But the director gives me hope, so I trust that this will be a solid film.
