Evil Dead

Evil lives again. Now that it had its premiere at SXSW and the good word is out, the next big stop on the promotion tour before the early April release of Fede Alvarez's Evil Dead remake is at WonderCon Anaheim near the end of March. The crew behind this, including Ash himself, Bruce Campbell, plus director Fede Alvarez and producer Rob Tapert, were so excited they released this announcement teaser video. It's more of a TV spot for Evil Dead with some cool footage from the horror, but just a hype piece to remind everyone that they'll be at WonderCon just before the film hits theaters on April 5th. See you there?

WonderCon Anaheim runs from March 29th to 31st. For more info on the Con, visit comic-con.org/wca.

Evil Dead (2013) is a Raimi-approved-and-produced remake of Sam Raimi's original 1981 low budget horror classic, The Evil Dead. Directing is Fede Alvarez, a Uruguayan filmmaker who broke into Hollywood with his short film Panic Attack, making his feature debut with this. He helped write the script after he came on-board, with Oscar winner Diablo Cody credited on the original draft. The new cast includes Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Jessica Lucas, Lou Taylor Pucci and Elizabeth Blackmore. Sony Pictures and Screen Gems will be releasing this new Evil Dead in theaters on April 5th this spring. Planning to see this?
