Blade Runner 8-Bit Video Game

Just earlier this summer, the gestating sequel to Blade Runner got a new scribe with Green Lantern co-writer Michael Green taking over scripting duties for the Warner Bros. film. We're not sure when Ridley Scott might take on that project since his next film seems to be Exodus with Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton and that film is gearing up to shoot next month. But fans can get their Blade Runner fix with this cool fanmade video that takes the world of the iconic sci-fi film noir and turns it into an awesome old school 8-bit video game. It looks pretty damn cool, and our only regret is that this is not a real playable video game.

Here's the 8-bit video game for Blade Runner from Cinefix (via Pale of the Future):

Cinefix's 8-Bit Cinema put this little video together, and this is something they've done for some other movies that deserve their own 8-bit games like G.I.Joe, Star Trek, Iron Man and Kick-Ass. They even made a fun little video game for Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. If we're lucky, some talented 8-bit video game nut will take the creative cues from Cinefix and get these games together so people can play them.

this really pisses me off that this is not a real game.

IT shouldn't. There was a fantastic Blade Runner game in the 90s for PC. It's a classic and one of the best point and click adventure games ever made.

i played that game it's one of my favorites, I love it! Still, any blade runner is good blade runner and I wasn't entirely serious...but still it's exciting to even see something like this.

Considering they did a puzzle style point and click Blade Runner game in the late 90s and it was amazing, this is not impressive at all.
